Although the Goblin Slayer anime is mainly about the silver-ranked adventurer, the Goblin Slayer, who solely dedicates his time to killing goblins, he is not technically the star of the show as there is Hero, who is the highest-ranked adventurer in this world. She is also responsible for taking down the strongest opponent ever, the Demon Lord.
Hero has limited screen time and may not have been seen much by the viewers, but they have definitely heard of her abilities or seen the aftermath of her fights. The other adventurers speak well of her. Hero is a platinum-ranked adventurer, making her the highest-rank holder in Goblin Slayer.
7 Hero Is In A Party
Although she is pretty strong, Hero does not work alone as she works alongside two other adventurers, Sage and Sword Saint. She appears to be the strongest in this party and may come off as self-centered once in a while to her party members and others around her.
Hero is quite impulsive and makes decisions on her own without consulting her party members, like when she opts for a personal introduction to the Demon Lord’s servants instead of a surprise attack that was initially the plan. This change of plan annoyed Sage, but all in all, it was a successful operation. Hero’s skills cannot go unnoticed, and she is still nice to her party members and other people around her.
6 Hero Is Arrogant
Hero may come off as self-conceited and arrogant as she is the strongest adventurer in this world. She is a nice girl, but sometimes she can get a bit lost in her abilities and achievements, and that is quite understandable as she has been able to achieve so much being just a young girl.
Hero, alongside her party of adventurers, is responsible for taking down some of the greatest threats that other adventurers may shy away from, and the greatest of them all is the Demon Lord, which she successfully destroys with the help of her party of adventurers.
5 Hero Knows Goblins Are A Threat
Hero sees goblins for the vicious monsters they truly are, unlike some other adventurers who see Goblins as a waste of time and some weak creatures. Some adventurers in the Goblin Slayer’s guild avoid quests that have to do with goblins because these quests do not pay well and also because they do not make such an impact on rankings.
Goblins are a dangerous threat to humans, especially young children and women. Because of their size, these adventurers undermine them and leave them for the lowest-ranked adventurers to deal with.
4 Hero Has The Holy Sword
On her very first quest as an adventurer, Hero struck gold when she came across this holy sword, which became her main weapon. This Holy Sword is a powerful weapon and acts as a conductor for Hero’s spells. The sword is so powerful that it can deliver attacks on its own accord.
More importantly, this holy sword is the reason for her success as an adventurer, as she has been able to defeat all her dangerous opponents with the help of this sword. If she had been without the sword, there is a possibility she might not have quickly gained much success or reached the highest rank as an adventurer.
3 The Goblin Slayer And Hero May Be Childhood Friends
The Goblin Slayer and Hero had an encounter when they were much younger. She met the Goblin Slayer when she was still a young girl, and she interacts with him in her usual nice and friendly way. They met some years later, but they did not recognize each other.
Hero is aware of the Goblin Slayer and his dedication towards killing off goblins. In the manga of Goblin Slayer, she comes across him while he is setting traps for goblins, and she questions him and his choice of actions. Noticing that he is quite skilled and experienced, she leaves him to it, and this annoys Sage yet again.
2 Hero Has Magical Powers
It is not surprising that Hero has magical powers as most of the adventurers in this world have the ability to cast one or two spells; even ogres have magical powers. These magical powers, however, add to Hero’s list of abilities that make her the strongest-ranked adventurer.
She is known to be able to cast two major spells: fire bolt and sun blast. These two spells are powerful enough to weaken her opponents and kill them. With the help of her Holy Sword, which acts as a conduit, she can power more energy into her spells, giving it maximum effect.
1 Hero Is Effortlessly Strong
Although she has magical powers and the Holy sword that puts her at an advantage, Hero is quite strong and agile without these extra powerups even though they come in handy. There is no proof of Hero undergoing any training, but it might be suitable to assume that she did, hence, her physical strength.
She can easily dodge her opponent’s attacks and do stunts like jumping and somersaulting in the air. There is also cause to believe that she took out the servants of the Demon Lord with one mighty kick.
