Goat Simulator 3's absurd gameplay has always been a selling point, making it well over into its marketing, and its recent over-the-top tactic may have landed it in hot water with Grand Theft Auto 6 publisher Take-Two Interactive. While it remains to be seen if it's just an ad takedown and nothing more, it's worth noting how in-tune with the game this is. Many, for example, no doubt remember the Goat Simulator 3 trailer that trolled fans regarding Dead Island 2.

Out of nowhere, developer Coffee Stain North released a strange new ad for Goat Simulator 3, detailing a day in the life of NPC Shaun. It goes over his supposed days in ragdoll school, his day-to-day life of walking in circles, and his appearances elsewhere, highlighting an NPC that is in the leaked gameplay of Grand Theft Auto 6.

It's a brief, but clear presentation, of GTA 6's leaked gameplay. As many may recall, this year saw Rockstar Games finally announce Grand Theft Auto 6, and then one hacker break the internet when they leaked several gameplay videos of it in early, early development. The leaker allegedly had the GTA 5 and GTA 6 source codes, easily resulting in one of the biggest video game news stories of 2022, and it seems Goat Sim 3's devs wanted to take a poke at it before the year ended. It was certainly in humor, though good humor here may be subjective, as Take-Two issued a DMCA takedown hours after the trailer went live.

Following the takedown, the official Goat Simulator 3 Twitter account followed up with a GIF from The Simpsons, the super common one where Ralph Wiggum chuckles and says, "I'm in danger." It's definitely uncertain how the folks at Take-Two feel, but based on the comments, a lot of followers had a good time with it. Someone suggested Shaun could be coming to Fortnite, as one joke, and another created a meme of Rockstar as cops looking at the trailer.

Of course, Rockstar and Take-Two are likely hoping to look forward, beyond these leaks. GTA 6 doesn't have an official release window, an official trailer, or anything like that at this point, but it's still easily one of the most anticipated games on the horizon. Once Rockstar shows it in full, there's a strong chance these leaks become a thing of the past.

Goat Simulator 3 is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
