A life-size Spheal plush from Pokemon has been listed for sale in North America. The plush came out previously only in Japan, but has finally been released for sale abroad, too. The plush has been listed on the North American Pokemon Center website, joining a line-up of several other over-sized Pokemon plush toys.
When the life-size Spheal plush first released in Japan, it caused a huge stir on the internet. Many Twitter users were retweeting the images of the plush, and it even became a meme on other social media platforms. People around the world wanted their own giant Spheal plush, and due to its size, shipping from Japan was not viable.
The Pokemon Company must have heard their pleas, though, because now at least North American fans can have what they wanted! The Spheal plush is 2 feet, 7 inches tall (around 78 cm), making it true to size according to the official Pokédex, which lists Spheals as being 78.7 cm tall. We can only hope that the Spheal plush is not true to weight as well, though, or it will weigh in at 88 lbs (40 kg)!
Spheal is not the most popular Hoenn Pokemon out of the hundreds that are out there, but it is admittedly quite cute. While it may be sometimes forgotten among people naming their top ten favorites, its circular shape, and big eyes made it prime material for a plush toy. And in the end, it was exactly what the fans wanted.
Alongside the Spheal plush, the Pokemon Center also has life-sized Lucario, Arcanine, Psyduck, Slowpoke, Piplup, Lapras, and Mareep plushes for sale. Spheal is just the newest in a long list of plushes available for Pokemon super fans who want to get as close as possible to having a real Pokemon in their homes.
None of these plushes come cheaply due to their size, however. To get a life-size Spheal of your own, you had better be ready to fork out $449.99! It's a small price to pay to have a life-size Spheal in your home, though, and just like the website says - it's too round and rotund to resist its cuteness for long! The website also reminds potential buyers that a life-size Spheal is nice to come home to after a long day out.
Several of the other life-size Pokemon plushes are already sold out, and it's likely that Spheal will sell out, too considering its popularity online. If you want to make sure you have a life-size Spheal in your life and have the money ready, we suggest ordering soon. Once they are gone, they might be gone forever, and then you will never be able to catch them all!
