After beating Okina and confronting Hannya at the top of Tokyo Tower, Ghostwire: Tokyo players will once again find themselves face to face with Yaseotoko. This time, however, the boss has a few extra tricks hidden up his sleeves, making him quite a bit trickier to topple this time around. As is so often the case though, where there is a will, there's also a way.

As well as having KK's body, Yaseotoko also has access to the same Ethereal abilities, with Wind, Water, and Flame attacks once again being on the menu. He now has an impenetrable shield as well as the ability to perform charge attacks though, forcing players to mix up their attack patterns this time around. Here's how players can beat Yaseotoko in Ghostwire: Tokyo.

How to Beat Yaseotoko in Ghostwire: Tokyo

Much like when players fought him in Chapter 2, Yaseotoko will begin by targeting Akito with Ethereal Arts. Players will be able to tell which one he is about to use based on the color of his hands, with green being Wind, blue being Water, and red being Flame. All of his attacks can be avoided simply by moving out of the way of them, though this may prove difficult if players are too close to the boss when he attacks.

In the event that they don't have time to move out of the way, players should crouch (press Circle) to avoid Yaseotoko's Water attacks, while blocking Flame and Wind using L1. As the latter usually follows players around, it can be a good idea to block it even when dodging is an option, as it's better to mitigate most of the damage with a block than dodge and have the attack double back and cause full damage.

As they block and dodge Yaseotoko's attacks, players should also focus on hitting his chest with everything that they have. Eventually, his core will be exposed, and they'll get a chance to pull it out. Unfortunately, however, they'll fail at the first time of asking, which will lead to Yaseotoko growing even stronger and mixing up his attacks for the second phase of the fight.

Players can recharge their Ethereal Arts by destroying some of the crystallized Ether that's scattered around the battle area. They'll also get a significant amount of Ether at the end of the first phase.

During phase two, Yaseotoko will use charged forms of his attacks, which have the potential to cause quite a bit more damage. His Wind and Flame attacks are actually quite a bit easier to dodge though, simply by keeping some distance between Akito and the boss and moving backward just before he attacks. As for the Water attacks, players should focus on blocking them as dodging can be tricky. A strong offense can be a good form of defense too, as hitting Yaseotoko with a Flame attack can cancel out his charge attacks.

In addition to his Ethereal Arts, Yaseotoko will also use a shockwave attack which begins with him jumping up into the air and firing a pink laser down at the ground. Players can either avoid this by jumping right before the shockwave makes contact or block it to greatly reduce the damage. He's also able to separate Akito and KK (players should hold L2 to fuse back together if this happens) and can summon a pink forcefield that completely blocks out damage (players will need to destroy this by hitting it until it breaks).

Just like before, players should focus on hitting Yaseotoko's chest until his core is exposed for a second time. On this occasion, Akito will have no trouble pulling it out, after which, he and KK will work together to destroy Yaseotoko's physical form once and for all. They'll then leap into the mouth of the giant spirit monster, which takes them to the abyss between the realms of the living and the dead and Ghostwire: Tokyo's sixth and final chapter, Binding.
