After a rather slow opening chapter, Ghostwire: Tokyo cranks up the heat quite a bit during its second act. Once they've finished exploring KK's safehouse, players will head outside to find that an impenetrable barrier has been placed around the entire apartment complex, with KK revealing that they'll be crushed to death if they don't find a way out of there.

RELATED: How To Play Ghostwire: Tokyo Early

In order to destroy the barrier, Ghostwire: Tokyo players will need to take out three special barrier stones that are hidden around the building, all while adhering to a strict seven-minute time limit. Though the first of these stones is easy enough to find, increasingly severe interference from the underworld can make finding the other two a real pain in the neck. This guide should make life a little easier.

How to Find the First Barrier Stone

After heading outside and discovering the barrier, players should head to the right and follow the staircase up to the next floor. They'll soon find their progress impeded by the first barrier stone, however, and will need to destroy it by using a melee attack in order to pass by. As soon as they do so, a seven-minute timer will begin counting down, so players will have to move quickly from here on out.

Though the following areas do contain some loot, none of it is really worth going out of one's way for. If players do really want to investigate though, they should do so after destroying the barrier when there's no longer a time limit in play. The building will also be much easier to navigate once the barrier has been taken down.

How to Find the Second Barrier Stone

Before heading up to the next floor, players should make their way to the end of the walkway that they're currently on and enter the second apartment on their left. Once inside, they'll again need to take the door to their left, which will trigger some pretty bad underworld interference. Though this can be a little disorientating at first, players should keep heading forwards until they reach the living/dining area.

Once players enter the room, everything will be flipped around, making navigation even more difficult than it already was. Players should keep pushing onwards though, and follow the corridor on the opposite side of the room until they arrive in the bedroom. Here, they'll need to open up the closet in the back left-hand corner and look inside. Off in the distance, they'll see the second barrier stone and will be able to destroy it by using the bow which they picked up a little earlier on.

Players can equip the bow by pressing down on the D-Pad, after which they'll be able to use the left and right triggers to aim and fire it respectively.

How to Find the Third Barrier Stone

After destroying the second barrier stone, the apartment will be returned to normal, at which point, players should head back outside. They'll then want to head up two more floors and again enter the second apartment on their left. Just like the last one, the underworld interference here can make navigation a little tricky. Regardless, they should head into the room with the toilet at the far end of the corridor and then crouch (press Circle to toggle) to pass through the narrow passageway therein.

Following this path will lead to a tatami room with a gaping hole in the floor which leads to the kitchen. Players should drop down into this hole and then use crouch again to pass through another narrow passageway. Opening the doors at the end of this passageway will lead to a living room area, wherein players will have to jump (press the X button) between various pieces of furniture to reach a third narrow passageway up above them.

Upon following this passageway and crossing over a wooden plank, players will soon come to another living area, in which they'll find another one of those strange tree things from earlier on. Though it takes up most of the room, they'll be able to pass by it by crouching and should follow the path around to the right to reach several more kitchen and bedroom areas.

Players will find the final barrier stone in the final bedroom that they come to by opening up the closet on the far side of the room. Once they do, they can smash the stone using a melee attack, which will destroy the barrier, stop the timer and return the apartment complex to normal. From here, assuming they're done looting, players can either take the stairs back down or head up to the roof and jump off it to one of the nearby buildings.
