Ghostrunner 2 is a first-person one-hit kill slasher game set in a futuristic cyberpunk universe where players are tasked with protecting the Dharma Tower from a deadly AI cult. As the game proceeds, the protagonist, Jack, comes across a variety of enemies, including menacing bosses, and Ahriman the Destroyer is one of them.
Ahriman the Destroyer is the first boss that players will face during the first level of Ghostrunner 2, Uninvited Guests. He wields a massive sword and possesses an excellent speed, making the fight quite challenging. The fight unfolds in two phases, each with its own set of difficulties and strategies. How to Defeat Ahriman the Destroyer in Ghostrunner 2
In the first phase, players should consider adopting an aggressive approach as they don’t have much to lose at the start of the fight. Secondly, Ahriman’s moves are somewhat limited in this phase as compared to the second phase, making it easier for players to inflict significant damage. However, he is pretty quick even in this phase and far more powerful than other enemies players faced earlier in the game.
Following the first mission, Uninvited Guests, where players explore the Dharma Tower and kill enemies there, they will enter a new area. Here, they will see a cutscene in which two in-game characters are in the process of reviving their leader, Mitra. After this cutscene, Ahriman will appear and the fight will begin. He will either launch an attack right away or start dashing here and there to divert players’ attention until he sneaks up behind them for a surprise attack with his big swords.
Ahriman’s Attacks
In close range, Ahriman the Destroyer can choose between a downward slash, which generates two destructive waves on either side of the sword upon impact, or a horizontal slash, which doesn’t have any additional effects but has a greater reach. At a distance, he can jump into the air and create a devastating shockwave upon landing that covers the entire area.
To avoid the sword slash attack, players should react quickly and dodge the attack when Ahriman approaches them. On the other hand, to evade the shockwave attack, players will have to jump over the shockwave to prevent getting damaged.
After inflicting a certain amount of damage on Ahriman, players will see another cutscene where he will throw them into a void, and an unexpected ally, Bakunin, comes to their rescue. After the cutscene, gamers will need to enter the battle arena by walking on walls while deflecting Shuriken. They can use Bakunin’s jetpack as a Grapple point to evade the deadly shockwave. Furthermore. Bakunin can also stun Ahriman for some time when Ghostrunner 2 players choose the 'Call for Help' option.
With his fierce attacks and excellent agility, Ahriman can be extremely deadly. As such, it’s a battle that requires both skill and strategy to emerge victorious.
