To promote the upcoming open-world samurai game Ghost of Tsushimadeveloper Sucker Punch has released an album featuring four remixes of the game's soundtrack, each created by a different musician. The album, Ghost of Tsushima Soundtrack: Reimagined, is out today on Spotify.

The album features one track each from The Glitch Mob, Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails, Sonoio), Tycho, and TOKiMONSTA. Each artist brings their own strengths to the project, making for a varied and exciting listening experience. The project only clocks in 18 minutes, which is probably too short for a vinyl release, but thankfully, the album demands repeat listenings.

The first two songs are intense soundscapes that feel like the kind of music one would hear at an underground warehouse rave. This is not the kind of music that one would associate with Ghost of Tsushima's black and white samurai cinema mode. But while these tracks might not be in the game, they certainly match the intensity that the game promises.

The third, and possibly the best track on the album is the Ghost of Koduko remix by Tycho. Those who are familiar with Tycho's body of work will see his fingerprints all over this song. It's characteristically chill and ambient, with a spaced-out sound that will remind fans of playing their favorite relaxing games.

As fans get closer to the release date, the hype for Ghost of Tsushima only grows. This soundtrack is a perfect accompanying feature, designed for both gaming and music fans alike.

Ghost of Tsushima launches on July 17, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
