How to Start Iki Island DLC - Ghost of Tsushima

Triggering the 'Journey to the Past' Quest

The Journey to the Past quest is the one that players will need to start and finish to take a boat to Iki Island and discover the new area. Players who have already completed the story of Ghost of Tsushima can start the Iki Island expansion by loading up their game file and locating the Journey to the Past Tale.

If a player is just starting Ghost of Tsushima for the first time, they will need to get to Chapter 2 before the Iki Island quest becomes available.

Players can track the Tale by visiting the menu and finding the Tales of Iki list. It's in the same section as "Jin's Journey" and "Tales of Tsushima." The Journey to the Past Tale will be the only quest, and players can press X to track its location. Otherwise, fans can use the map below to see where the quest begins, which tasks Jin Sakai with investigating a settlement.

Once players finally make their way to the settlement, a short cutscene will play out, and players will have to investigate. There's a nearby Mongol yurt, and soon after players keep investigating, a group of enemies will appear and will need to be killed using Jin Sakai's vast array of weaponry. After that section, another cutscene will play out with a familiar character named Yuna.

Ghost of Tsushima players will now have access to Iki Island and can speak to the nearby boatman to be taken there. Before players say yes to the boat trip, they should make sure to be prepared, as the enemies on the new island are ruthless and will not go down without a fight.
