Ghost of Tsushima was released in 2020 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive but has recently seen a PC port that has let more fans access the beautiful landscape, fluid combat systems, and open story to tell their tales of the Ghost. As players explore the huge map, they will come across hot springs, haiku spots, foxes, bamboo sword challenges, and countless other distractions.
Ghost of Tsushima: All Hot Spring Locations
There are 20 Hot Springs spread out across the four regions in Ghost of Tsushima. Here are all their locations.Â
However, some collectibles are harder for fans to get their hands on. Here are the 7 best-hidden secrets in Ghost Of Tsushima for players to seek out, as well as how to collect them.
7 Twilight Oni Sword Kit
Wakou's Island
Most honor pillars are easy to get to, and Jin Sakai can ride up to them on horseback. The pillar atop Wakou's Island is a different story. If players see the island and try to get to it, they will discover that the horse cannot ride out that far into the water. Many fans might then assume that the island is unreachable.
Instead, completionists who want to get their hands on one of the coolest sword kits in Ghost of Tsushima should swim the long distance to the island and then look for one of the lowered ridges to climb up to the honor pillar and claim their reward.
6 Demonic Archer's Mask
Lone Spirit Falls
One of the most colorful and menacing masks in the game, the Demonic Archer's Mask, is located in Lone Spirit Falls but is very well hidden. Players have to grapple up to a tree trunk near the waterfall in the southeast of the area and then look around behind them for a hidden passage behind the falls.
Sakai can slip through here to find a shrine to the Cooper gang in a reference to the PlayStation classic Sly Cooper, but more importantly, players can collect the infernal mask to strike fear into the hearts of their foes.
5 Wolf Of Tsushima Mask
Follow The Fox Collectibles
One of the most common activities that players will find across the map are foxes who will playfully lead the player to secret shrines. These foxes can be petted and played with, but following them will often force the player into hidden areas or tricky platforming sections.
17 Samurai Games To Play If You Love Ghost Of Tsushima
Sucker Punch's Ghost Of Tsushima transports players to the action-packed world of Feudal Japan. Samurai fans should check out these games as well.
Players will have to find the foxes and the Inari shrines that they lead to at all 49 locations before they will unlock the Wolf Of Tsushima mask. While this task can be time-consuming, the bared teeth of the mask will help to create a terrifying persona for Jin Sakai.
4 Dirge Of The Fallen Forge Trophy
Singing Crickets And A Graveside Visit
While players explore the island setting, they will stumble upon a number of graveyards. While players might recognize that there is something to collect here, those who are wearing the Traveler's Attire will be able to use the leading vibrations that the gear provides to find 1 Singing Cricket at each graveyard location.
Collecting every single cricket gives the player a new song to play on their flute. Players should then equip the song and head to a specific character's grave toward the end of Act 2. The grave can be found to the east of Yarikawa. If Jin plays the special 'Lament Of The Storm' tune here, the trophy will unlock.
3 Deadly Rival's Attire
Baku The Voiceless In New Game +
This set of clothing is impossible to obtain in the first playthrough, so already the clothing worn by Jin's greatest enemy is harder to acquire than any other collectable in the main story. Players will have to complete the game and then start a 'New Game +' — this will restart the story but let Jin Sakai keep the gear and cosmetics that he has unlocked. A brand new character, Baku the Voiceless, will appear in Ariake and will sell items to fans that can only be unlocked in this mode.
Ghost Of Tsushima: 5 Things That Need To Be Resolved In A Sequel
With a Ghost of Tsushima sequel all but inevitable from Sucker Punch, there are a few narrative loose ends that the next game needs to sort out.
Baku only accepts Ghost Flowers as currency, which are rewarded when players complete missions that they completed in their previous playthrough instead of the normal reward. The Deadly Rivals Attire is the most expensive item in Baku's inventory, costing 50 Ghost Flowers.
2 Charm Of Heavenly Rebuke
An Amazing Charm Sold By Baku
Another rare item that can only be unlocked in New Game + mode, the Charm Of Heavenly Rebuke is the most expensive charm that can be bought from Baku the Voiceless. The charm is hidden among a stack of other charms that the merchant sells, but this particular charm is incredibly powerful, making up for its 25 Ghost Flower cost.
When Jin Sakai performs a Heavenly Strike, there is a chance that a player wielding this charm will see a nearby enemy struck by lightning. Giving the Ghost a more supernatural ability makes for builds that can tear through waves of enemies. This is well worth the cost, but it will require players to beat the game and carry on their efforts.
1 Ghost Transcendent Dye
The Big Platinum Reward
Likely to be the final unlock for players who seek it out, the Ghost Transcendent armor dye for the Ghost armor set is shining and sharp. Jin Sakai finally comes into his own in these colors. However, players who wish to collect this dye set will have to collect all Fox Shrines, all hidden cosmetics and collectibles, complete all haiku and side missions, and even bathe in every hot spring.
When the player finally reaches 100% completion and attains the Platinum PlayStation trophy, they will unlock this new armor dye and be able to fly across the fully explored island in style.
