PlayStation's exclusive games are often praised for their gameplay and visuals, with the company's first-party studios pushing out highly polished titles at a high frequency. Of those exclusive games, many consider Ghost of Tsushima to be a standout, coupling gorgeous visuals with a distinct art style. When Ghost of Tsushima's graphics and art direction come together, the game is a sight to behold, as evidenced by a new video putting them on full display.

The video, uploaded to Reddit by user anonymousgoat777, shows Ghost of Tsushima protagonist Jin Sakai in a broad suite of locations, soaking in the visuals with a melancholic song in the background. Viewers get to see the windy plains and gorgeous vistas that the game has become known for in the time since launch, which has largely helped set it apart from the rest of the pack.

It appears that the footage was captured in Ghost of Tsushima's photo mode, which allows players to fine-tune controls over things like weather, time of day, particle effects, and much more. While the use of photo mode can make the game look more appealing than it is while being played live, it's still an amazing reminder of just how sharp Ghost of Tsushima looks.

Like many other PlayStation exclusives, a dedicated community has started to form around Ghost of Tsushima. Released nearly a year ago, the game was hailed for its open-world elements and story, its subreddit home to countless screenshots and appreciation posts about the game. While it lost out to The Last of Us 2 where accolades and awards are concerned, Ghost of Tsushima was still one of the defining games of 2020, which is no small feat.

While Ghost of Tsushima's visuals are impressive already, they'll be improving even more soon. Just recently, developer Sucker Punch games announced Ghost of Tsushima's Director's Cutwhich will include visual overhauls for the PS5, a new story DLC, and more improvements in one bundle. While the upgrade won't be free for existing owners, it's still a decent amount of content.

Fans have already begun to speculate what a Ghost of Tsushima sequel might entail, and odds are that it will include even better graphics if it comes to fruition. For now, fans will have to explore the new Iki Island area coming in the expansion and see what other improvements the Director's Cut ends up bringing along with it.

Ghost of Tsushima is available now for PS4.
