Genshin Impact's official social media accounts have revealed which limited characters and weapons will be featured in the first part of update 3.7. Every banner cycle in the game adds a new Limited Character Banner that includes a set of new playable units that will be offered for 2–3 weeks.
The ongoing Genshin Impact banner cycle features two five-star characters, Baizhu and Ganyu, as well as a new four-star character named Kaveh. The recent live stream event has confirmed that the only new roster addition in the upcoming version 3.7 will be a new four-star character named Kirara.
Genshin Impact's Limited Character Banners always feature one or two five-star characters and three four-stars. While five-stars are generally much stronger, the difference in power is compensated by the fact that players can build up constellation levels for four-stars much easier due to a much lower pity. The game's official Twitter account has revealed which four-star characters will be offered in the upcoming months. According to the post, the first banner for Genshin Impact version 3.7 will feature the following characters:
- Yoimiya - five-star Pyro bow user
- Yae Miko - five-star Electro catalyst user
- Kirara - four-star Dendro sword user
- Yunjin - four-star Geo sword user
- Chongyun - four-star Cryo claymore user
At the moment, Yoimiya is one of the best Pyro characters in Genshin Impact and her playstyle revolves around dealing single-target damage. The live stream confirmed that Yoimiya will receive a Story Quest in the upcoming update which means that players will get to find out more about this Inazuma character.
The fact that both she and Yae Miko are tied to the Inazuma region could indicate that the main story will also go back to the Electro nation. Yae Miko is probably the best off-field Electro character in the game alongside the Inazuma Archon Raiden Shogun. Yae's playstyle is fairly simple since all players have to do is deploy her three totems and use her Elemental Burst whenever possible.
The new four-star character Kirara will also have a very specific kit that allows her to curl up into a delivery box and travel with increased movement speed. She also provides decent Dendro application with her Elemental Burst. Yunjin was the last Geo character to arrive to the game back in early 2022. She is a must-have for players that want to use Yoimiya on their team since Yunjin can significantly increase the speed of Yoimiya's Normal Attack which is the main source of her damage.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
