An interesting Genshin Impact dialogue hints at a new part of Mondstadt that could arrive in one of the next map expansions. HoYoverse keeps adding new explorable terrain in almost every other update with the new Sumeru desert being the most recent adjustment.
The world of Teyvat is made of seven different continents, each of which has its unique type of symbolic element that impacts its climate and vegetation. Every region also has an Archon who serves as its loyal protector with the help of unnatural divine powers. At the moment, only four Genshin Impact regions are explorable: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru.
A Genshin Impact fan named JuJuBee0910 has shared an interesting line of dialogue between the Traveler, Kazuha, and Venti. The Anemo Archon mentions that there is a port in the Mondstadt region that is expected to be part of one of the future Genshin Impact map expansions. Previous rumors have revealed the current version of Mondstadt represents only 60-70% of the whole region which means that a big part of the Anemo nation is yet to be added to the game. Despite being the by far the smallest region in the game at the moment, Mondstadt remains the fan-favorite location for most players as it's the place where they started their journey through the world of Teyvat.
At the beginning of each playthrough, Travelers are spawned in the Stormbearer Mountains subregion, and they need to find their way to the main city also known as The City of Freedom. Some comments claim that Venti probably talks about the Dornman Port which has been mentioned by a couple of NPCs in the official storyline. It's rumored to be far away from the main city of Mondstadt and while HoYoverse is yet to reveal its exact location, many fans expect the new port to be located in the northern part of the region.
Recent leaks have apparently revealed the models for at least 10 new Genshin Impact characters that will join the playable roster in the future. At first, rumors suggested that all of these characters are tied with the new Fontaine major region, but a popular leaker named merlin_impact has confirmed that some of them will actually be tied to Mondstadt which means that they could be part of a future expansion.
The annual release of a new major region is probably the greatest event in the Genshin Impact community. However, many fans claim that they would want to see a new part of Mondstadt before the Hydro nation arrives to the game.
