New Inazuma character Kirara has seen several leaks with her element and rarity being revealed long before her expected debut in Version 3.7. Version 3.8 has also been the subject of several leaks hinting at another new character from Inazuma.Previous updates from many of Genshin Impact's most trusted leakers have suggested a new Electro character is coming to the game soon. Reveals have teased the new character as hailing from the game's island region of Inazuma with an expected release date of Version 3.8. Several hints about her appearance have surfaced in recent weeks, with some even showing art depicting the character. Now, however, a prominent group of Genshin Impact leakers are claiming some information about the character may be off-base.A new update from leaker group Team China claims that Genshin Impact's Version 3.8 update will not welcome any new additions to the game's roster. The leak supposedly reveals that the unnamed Electro character from Inazuma may not exist within the game, though several others have confirmed the character's existence. Well-known leaker Tao has asserted that the information regarding the lack of a new character in 3.8 could be correct, suggesting the Electro character's tentative release may have been pushed back. Genshin Impact's Version 3.8 update is expected to launch in July.
The lack of a new character within Version 3.8 would be new territory for the massively popular RPG. Genshin Impact has never released a new update without at least one character added, though several updates have only featured a lone four-star character introduced to the game. Leaks have already confirmed a long-awaited re-run is set to arrive in Version 3.8 with Eula expected to appear on the game's limited banner. Version 3.8 is also believed to be the final update before the addition of Genshin Impact's next major region of Fontaine.

A recent leak suggests a major update to Genius Invokation is coming with Version 3.7, bringing the fan-favorite Archons to the TCG mini-game. Genshin Impact is also rumored to be adding a new limited region during Version 3.8, similar to the previously featured Golden Apple Archipelago. Fans will have to wait and see what becomes of the unnamed Electro character's status within Genshin Impact.
