Tianqiu Treasure Trail is a new world quest featured in Genshin Impact's 1.3 update. As the name of the quest suggests, Tianqiu Treasure Trail centers around finding treasure. Players can accomplish this by following a map. However, some players may become stuck as they attempt to complete this new Genshin Impact world quest. Here's how to avoid these traps.
Update July 3, 2021 by Mina Smith: Back when this article was first written, the Genshin Impact Tianqiu Treasure Trail quest was bugged; thankfully it appears that the bug has been fixed by miHoYo. This article has been updated with all the new information, new pictures and maps, and some additional clarity to help players to get this quest completed. With the bug no longer an issue, this quest should be much easier for all players to complete. So for those who gave up on this quest back in February, they can come back to it without worrying about not being able to complete it.
How to Start Tianqiu Treasure Trail Quest
Players can start this quest by speaking with Lan in Liyue after reaching Adventure Rank 31. She is located in Liyue Harbor and is the Adventurer's Guild's rep for the area.
This is the same NPC that players have to interact with for some Archon, World, and Story Quests, including Farewell, Archaic Lord and The Mysterious Wangsheng Parlor.
How to Complete the Tianqiu Treasure Trail
To complete Tianqiu Treasure Trail, players must travel to the waypoint provided by Lan and slay the monsters they find there. Doing this will give players access to a Treasure Map that marks a spot on the northside of Dunyu Ruins. Traveling to this location is indeed the next step.
Upon arrival, players will find a couple of books and scrolls sitting atop some ruins. They should Investigate them in order to read a Strange Note.
This action will cause three new waypoints to appear on the map. Players should wander around in these marked areas until they receive a prompt to Dig. Press the input button to reveal an Exquisite Chest at each of the waypoints. After doing this at all three of the locations, players will receive instructions to report back to Lan. They will receive the Parametric Transformer as a reward once they have spoken with this character.
A Note About the Tianqiu Treasure Trail Bug
Earlier this year, players noticed a bug that made players unable to complete this quest while in co-op mode in Genshin Impact. However, this bug appears to have been fixed. But since the bug related mostly to digging up treasures in other player's worlds or digging up treasure in their own world while a co-op players was visiting, it should be fairly easy to avoid getting this glitch if players are still worried about it.
