Genshin Impact's official livestream event for the upcoming update 3.5 has confirmed the three characters that will receive a re-run in the upcoming weeks. The Special Program also confirmed the arrival of a new five-star character named Dehya, who is apparently scheduled for the first part of the update.

HoYoverse revealed that Dehya will join the Standard Banner after Genshin Impact update 3.6 arrives which means that players will be able to obtain new five-star Pyro user by pulling on the Standard Banner or by losing a 50/50 on a regular Limited Character Banner. Re-runs allow players to pull for characters they might have missed in the past and each banner cycle usually contains at least one re-run.

Genshin Impact's recent Special Program event for update 3.5 has confirmed which three characters will receive re-runs in the next version of the game. The first banner cycle will include the new five-star Pyro user Dehya and the Electro polearm character Cyno. Both characters have a very similar play style that revolves around using the buffs from their Elemental Bursts to deal tons of damage. Cyno, also known as General Mahamantra, is considered a "selfish DPS" which is a specific type of character that is useful only when they are on the field. Once he gets swapped out, the effect of Cyno's Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness gets cut short.

The second banner cycle will include two five-star Cryo characters, Kamisato Ayaka and Shenhe. Ayaka is probably the strongest DPS character in Genshin Impact, at least when it comes to dealing elemental damage which makes her the perfect choice for the Permafreeze team composition. This team revolves around constantly triggering Frozen which completely immobilizes enemies for a short period of time, allowing players to reposition.

This means that Ayaka can work great with her brother Kamisato Ayato, who was featured in the previous update where she was placed alongside Raiden Shogun. Shenhe and Ayaka have great synergy since Shenhe's whole kit relies on having Cryo characters in their party. There is a lot of hype around Shenhe's re-run since her last appearance was back in update 2.4 which dropped over a year ago.

The second part of the update will also include the new four-star character Mika, who is confirmed to be a Cryo polearm character. Mika will be a new supportive character who has the ability to heal his team members as well as increase their overall damage potential.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
