Genshin Impact has officially confirmed three banner re-runs that will arrive in the upcoming update 3.6. Re-runs allow players to pull for older five-star characters that they might have missed in the past. Even though the release of a new character is the main event for each update, re-runs can be just as exciting, especially if they feature S-tier characters.
Over the last couple of updates, Genshin Impact has been following a pattern of adding one five-star and one four-star character to the roster. The upcoming version 3.6 will include two Dendro characters, the popular Sumeru architect Kaveh and Baizhu, the owner of Liyue's Bubu Pharmacy.
The recently held Special Program event for Genshin Impact update 3.6 has revealed a lot of information about the upcoming content. Besides the two new character additions, HoYoverse confirmed re-runs for three additional five-stars: Nahida, Nilou, and Ganyu. At the moment, Nahida is probably the most powerful Dendro character in the game thanks to her potential to constantly apply the Dendro element. Just like the three previously released Archons, Nahida is very flexible and she's the go-to support for almost every team that needs a Dendro character. Her Elemental Burst creates an enormous field effect that provides different buffs depending on the element it interacts with.
Nahida can also be used as a main DPS character, but players should try to get all of her constellation levels. She will be placed on the first banner cycle alongside the Hydro user Nilou. The two characters have great synergy, especially when placed in a team composition that revolves around triggering Bloom. This elemental reaction will drop small Dendro cores that explode after a couple of seconds, dealing AoE damage.
Nilou's whole kit is designed for Bloom and she can turn the regular Dendro cores into Bountiful Cores which have a much larger explosion radius and deal more damage. The first banner cycle will also include the four-star character Kaveh who's confirmed to be a new support with a decent Dendro application.
The second banner cycle will include the new five-star character Baizhu and the Cryo bow user Ganyu. Despite being one of the oldest characters in the roster, Ganyu is still an S-tier DPS and probably the strongest Cryo character alongside Ayaka and Eula. According to the live stream event, Genshin Impact update 3.6 will drop around April 12.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
