Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG expands greatly since its debut in Genshin Impact 3.3. The developer continuously releases new characters and action cards, along with new mechanics to spice up the battle.

Among the available new mechanics, players now have Charged Attack and Plunging Attack in Genshin Impact TCG. The two are the child of Normal Attack, where a character can perform the listed hit by fulfilling certain requirements. As of version 3.7, only Xiao benefits from Plunging Attack, but Charged Attack is more common among the character cards.

How To Do Charged Attack In Genshin Impact TCG

To do a Charged Attack in Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG, players simply have to ensure their current Dice count is an even number (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and so on) before launching the attack.

Any character can perform Charged Attack, but only a few of them has additional feature and benefit from this type of hit.

The card Heavy Strike is not only excellent to increase Charged Attack by +2 (one for Normal Attack, and another for Charged Attack) but also to ensure the Dice count becomes even.

For instance, if players have eight Dice, and they use Klee’s Elemental Skill, the Dice count will now be an odd number (five Dice). This means Klee can’t use her Explosive Spark that activates upon using Charged Attack; her Normal Attack still needs 1 Pyro + 2 Unaligned Dice and will only deal 1 DMG.

If players use the Heavy Strike Event Card, the Dice count will now be an even number (four Dice). Now, Klee’s Normal Attack becomes a Charged Attack and no longer needs 1 Pyro Dice, so only 2 Unaligned Dice are required. She also gains +1 DMG from the Explosive Spark, bumping her attack to 2 DMG. Then, because of Heavy Strike, two additional DMG will be dealt, which means Klee’s Charged Attack now deals 4 DMG.

How To Do Plunging Attack In Genshin Impact TCG

Plunging Attack in Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCGoccurs when a newly switched-in character uses a Normal Attack. For example, if the active character is Venti and then players switch to Xiao, Xiao’s Normal Attack will be considered a Plunge Attack.

However, once players use Xiao’s Normal Attack, the next one will not be considered a Plunge Attack again. Another switch has to be made for Xiao to do a second Plunging Attack. This makes the Plunge mechanic quite complex and requires a lot of switching.

Other than fast switch and switch cost-down cards, the Plunging Strike Event Card is one of the easiest ways to do a Plunge Attack. This card immediately switches into a new character and uses a Normal Attack, which will cause the hit to be considered a Plunging Attack.

Although it saves one Dice from a normal cost (1 Dice to switch + 3 Dice for a Normal Attack), this card demands three Dice of the same Element, which can be bad in certain situations.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
