Starconch is arguably the easiest local specialty to collect in Genshin Impact. The resources can only be found on the shores near the oceans of Liyue and a couple of conches are on Dragonspine’s shore. According to the game description, holding the hollow Starconch close to the ear will emit the sound of the sea.
In addition, all the conches are found in one big group along the Liyue shores. One of the first characters that request Starconch to level up is Tartaglia and Yelan in Genshin Impact joined him later on.
Starconch Locations In Genshin Impact
All 70+ Starconch are considered located in the same area in Genshin Impact, which is Qiongji Estuary. Before exploring, put either Qiqi or Yanfei in the Party to activate their passive Talent and mark the location of the resources. Players can split the Starconch farming route in Genshin Impact into three:
- Guyun Stone Forest.
- Sea of Clouds Shore.
- Yaoguang Shoal.
Guyun Stone Forest
It may seem complicated, but gathering all 23 Starconch in Guyun Stone Forest is quite simple. Players have to visit each island and collect the conches situated on the shore.
- Start from the Waypoint and head west to take multiple conches.
- Next, go back to the Waypoint, but this time, go east to the following island.
- Teleport to the Domain of Guyun and run west to gather the remaining Starconch.
Some materials in Genshin Impact are on faraway islands and most likely will reward one to three Starconch. To reach it, players need to swim decent distances so either use Beidou for her swimming passive or Mona or Ayaka since they can run on water surfaces.
Sea Of Clouds Shore
A total of 21 Starconch are gathered from the Sea of Clouds shore.
- Fast travel to the Waypoint west of the Guyun Stone Forest and run slightly east to the shore.
- Follow the shore northwest while collecting conches along the way and fighting a couple of Slimes, Abyss Mages, and Treasure Hoarders.
- Once Travelers reach the end of the shore, they can stop here or swim east to pick up one more Starconch.
Yaoguang Shoal
The Yaoguang Shoal is a bit long as the 32 Starconch are scattered around the shore.
- Teleport to the Yaoguang Shoal Waypoint and collect all Starconch in the sand while either avoiding the enemies or fighting them.
- Once players are at the end of the shore or southwest of the Statue of the Seven in Genshin Impact, swim north to collect a conch.
- Walk back down and go east to collect more materials.
- Cross to the other shore northeast and keep going east while picking up the local specialties.
- Eventually, a Ruin Guard will appear and Travelers can collect the conches at the end of the enemy shore.
- Turn to the shore northeast and proceed east to arrive at Dragonspine in Genshin Impact.
Sadly, 77 Starconch are not enough to level up Childe or Yelan, so Travelers might want to wait 48 hours for the Starconch to respawn in Genshin Impact or collect materials from other players’ worlds.
