Genshin Impact's most recent update just added a ton of new content for players to explore. As usual, this comes with new loot and rewards to get as well, so players are diving in headfirst. While exploring Dragonspine, players will find themselves working with the alchemist Albedo who asks them to "solve the nearby mechanism."
As with many things in Genshin Impact, this is a job that's easier said than done, and there isn't much guidance given. While players tend to enjoy a good puzzle here and there, it's no fun getting stumped on something, especially when the solution is actually rather simple.
The answer to this puzzle lies in the nearby Seelies, mystical spirits that take on a fiery red hue in the icy regions of Dragonspine. Players are likely familiar with the Anemo Seelies found throughout Mondstadt and Liyue, and they may even have used the Pyro Seelies in Dragonspine to fend off the Sheer Cold.
For the first part of the puzzle, there are two Pyro Seelies floating nearby. Players simply need to run near them and they will then fly around to the various mechanisms to unlock them. This part is fairly easy, though it can be confusing for players that don't realize the two Seelies can activate all the mechanisms. There aren't even any enemies blocking the path or making things more difficult here, so players shouldn't have any issue getting this far in the Dragonspine expansion quest.
Moving on, the next mechanism is a bit more challenging. The first thing players should do is climb up the stone arch in front of the mechanism and collect the Crimson Agate at the top, as this will help players level up the Frostbearing Tree. From here, turn around and face the water to see another Pyro Seelie. Players will want to glide over to it and lead it back to the mechanism, being wary of the Abyss Mage and other enemies that will spawn to cause problems. Next, angle the camera upward a bit and look towards the large rock jutting into the sky, as another Pyro Seelie can be found here.
Even more enemies will spawn when leading this one back, but they can either be ignored or dispatched. After the second Pyro Seelie makes it to its pedestal, the mechanism will have been solved and Albedo's quest will continue. Players then just need to head down where the water used to be and talk to Albedo.
