Eula and Albedo are the first featured characters in Genshin Impact 2.3. For the first time, Travelers are seeing a double 5-star banner. This system is identical to the usual Character Banner, but players can choose which guaranteed 5-star they'd want to get.
After Version 2.3, there are 44 playable characters in total. 22 of them are 5-star units, and the other 22 are 4-star. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. The ever-growing list of characters is likely why Genshin Impact started to feature a double banner. This way, players won't have to wait for an eternity to get a rerun of their desired unit.
Eula Or Albedo In Genshin Impact
Dragonspine, an extension to the Mondstadt region, was available in Version 1.2. It was the first map expansion in the game, one that offers a thrilling expedition to the snowy mountain. However, after reaching 100% exploration, most players never go back there.
In Genshin Impact 2.3, Dragonspine will once again be the main venue of the event. Just like before, Albedo will be the star of the show. This is why players can expect the new sword, Cinnabar Spindle, to be Albedo's new best-in-slot weapon.
When it comes to Albedo and Eula, they're both F2P friendly units. Albedo works greatly with the 3-star weapon, Harbinger of Dawn, and Cinnabar Spindle is also a free 4-star gear. As for Eula, players can utilize Blackcliff Slasher, obtainable from the Paimon Shop. Other than that, Snow-Tombed Starsilver can be obtained from Dragonspine, and refinement is accessible via forging.
However, other than similarly F2P friendly, here are some things Travelers should keep in mind when considering Eula or Albedo.
When To Pull For Eula
Eula is a 5-star Cryo character that wields a Claymore. Players should pull for Eula if they fit these criteria:
In Need Of A Physical DPS
Eula is easily the best Physical DPS in Genshin Impact. She deals insane damage with her Elemental Burst, but her Normal Attack likely will kill the enemies before her Elemental Burst is even activated. Suffering from success is an everyday meal for Eula Mains.
This character is filled with everything a DPS needs: High base attack, high multiplier, a Skill that increases offense and defense, and a Burst to deal massive damage on foes with high HP. If players enjoy a Physical character that wields Claymore (like Razor), they definitely should pull for Eula.
Have The Right Supports For Eula
The Reconnaissance Captain's Element is also perfect for Physical DPS. As a Cryo character, Eula only needs Electro support to deal Superconduct to the enemies. This Elemental Reaction will reduce the enemy's Physical Resistance, allowing Eula to deal even greater damage.
For example, these Electro characters can be a great pair with Eula: Raiden Shogun, Kujou Sara, Fischl, Lisa, and Beidou. Other than that, a Cryo character, Rosaria, can help increase Eula's Critical Rate via her Passive and Cryo Resonance. At C6, Rosaria can reduce the enemy's Physical Resistance.
If players are planning to pair Eula with Bennett, then they should consider Xinyan. The Liyue Rockstar's Passive can increase Eula's Physical Damage. Furthermore, her C4 also reduces the opponent's Physical Resistance.
If players have Eula's support ready, the Vengeance Queen can easily shine on the battlefield.
When To Pull For Albedo
Albedo wields the Geo Vision and a Sword. The Chief Alchemist is an obvious choice for Travelers that fit these criteria:
In Need Of An Off-Field Sub-DPS
Players should wish for Albedo if they need a Sub-DPS. This unit can deal great damage every 2s via his Elemental Skill. With its short cooldown, this skill can always be active on the field. If built decently, Albedo can easily deal 10k damage every time his Elemental Skill is triggered.
Furthermore, when Albedo uses his Elemental Burst, he grants 125 Elemental Mastery to the whole party for 10s. With his low Energy requirement (40 Energy) and 12s cooldown, the Chalk Prince can maintain almost 100% buff uptime. So if Travelers are relying on Elemental Reaction, Albedo is a great addition to the team.
Have A Lot Of Godly Defense Artifacts
The best part about Albedo is that he's effortless to build. One of his best gear is a F2P weapon, so players don't have to stress on a weapon banner. Moreover, his focus-stat should be DEF instead of ATK. This stat is omnipresent in artifact farming.
There's a new DEF-focused artifact in Genshin Impact 2.3, but Albedo works great even without it. So if Travelers are hoarding defense equipment "just in case someone needs it," it's finally time for the artifacts to shine.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
