In Genshin Impact version 3.4, Hoyoverse added a big event called "Second Blooming," in which players could gain a free skin for 4* Electro unit Lisa. However, all the way back in version 2.0, Genshin Impact already added a hidden achievement of the same name, which can be a little bit easy to miss and forget. Furthermore, the skin event having the same name as the achievement while being way more popular has likely made a lot of players who didn't already have the achievement completely unaware of its existence, with all "second blooming" discussions being about Lisa and her new skin.

To be eligible to gain the Second Blooming achievement, players must have access to Inazuma's Tatarasuna island, and must have completed the pre-requisite world quest, Tatara Tales. This world quest on its own is already a decent undertaking as each step of it is time-locked based on real-life time, and completing it will take players at least a week, assuming they remember to progress it each and every day. Fortunately for players reading this, we already have a guide on how to complete Tatara Tales here, and doing so will prepare you to complete the Second Blooming achievement.

Much like the Tatara Tales world quest, the Second Blooming achievement is based on real-life time and will take a minimum of three days. However, each day of the process will award players with a common chest full of Mora, with the final day awarding both a common chest and the separate, usual achievement award of 5 Primogems. The achievement revolves around an NPC named Hanayama Kaoru who really, really likes flowers. She can be found in Tatarasuna.

For the first step of this achievement, players will need the "Bag of Flower Seeds" from Takashi, which is actually part of a separate hidden achievement. Every real-life day, players can collect Mysterious Conch shells and trade them to an NPC named Takashi in exchange for a chest. The interactable points where Mysterious Conches can be found, as well as Takashi's hut, are found on the north beach of Kannazuka.

On the second real-life day of doing this, the chest will award players with the Bag of Flower Seeds item, allowing them to progress the Second Blooming achievement.

It is recommended that players continue to open Takashi's chests for 5 more real-life days after obtaining the "Bag of Flower Seeds," as doing so will award the blueprint for the craftable Hamayumi 4* bow , as well as the hidden "Thank you, Come Again" achievement.

Once players have the Bag of Flower Seeds, it is time to find Hanayama Kaoru! Players are going to want to teleport to the Statue of the Seven located around the middle of Tatarasuna Island. From this location, players will be able to see a small Inazuman shrine directly up the hill from the statue, and next to it will be Hanayama Kaoru. Fortunately for players, she will not relocate at any step during this achievement, so simply remember this location every day! Talk to her twice, hand her the Bag of Flower Seeds, and claim the first day's common chest.

How to Complete the Second Blooming Hidden Achievement in Genshin Impact

On the second day of the achievement, players should be prepared for a little bit of combat. Players must return to Hanayama Kaoru, but be warned that talking to her will initiate combat with two Electro Whopperflowers. Defeat the two enemies and talk to Hanayama Kaoru again, once again claiming the common chest and enjoying the Mora award. The bulk of the difficulty of the achievement has now been completed, as the third day is quite simple.

On the third and final day of the achievement, players should once again return to Hanayama Kaoru, but feel rest assured that there will be no ambush this time. Talk to her as usual, and this time hand her three Sweet Flowers, which can be collected all over Teyvat. Hanayama Kaoru will give the player a "Sun-Dried Sweet Flower" item, which has no use at this time, and award the player with a final common chest and the "Second Blooming" hidden achievement.

Returning to the location of Hanayama Kaoru after completing this achievement will also show a very pretty sight, as the location has changed to be filled with Hanayama Kaoru's flowers.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
