Scaramouche is a character in Genshin Impact rumored to be playable at some point in the future. While this hasn't yet been confirmed, it hasn't stopped players from getting amped up about Scaramouche.

Previously, Scaramouche first unveiled his name and status during the Genshin Impact event Unreconciled Stars where players had a shot at receiving Fischl for free by completing a number of tasks. Also known as the Balladeer, He's one of the Fatui's Eleven Harbingers, and sitting at rank number 6, he is higher in rank than both Tartaglia and Signora. Prior to revealing his true nature, Scaramouche describes himself to the Traveler as a "vagrant from Inazuma," a highly anticipated region of Teyvat based off Japan. The popular Ayaka, though she hasn't been announced yet, hails from Inazuma as well.

Though his current star-rating as a Genshin Impact character isn't yet known as he hasn't been officially confirmed for the roster, Scaramouche's Elemental Vision is Electro, as shown on his detailed wardrobe. Not much else is known about his abilities as his potential release would still be quite far off, but Scaramouche wields a catalyst as a weapon, much like Lisa.

As all the Eleven Fatui Harbingers have names deriving from commedia dell'arte, an Italian genre of comedy theater, Scaramouche's archetype is typically less conceited, but is rather an unreliable servant, sometimes leading to chaos in the story. But so far, Genshin Impact's Scaramouche doesn't match this description. Instead, Scaramouche seems to be a strict and unforgiving leader, lashing out at others in a way that makes him often unliked by his peers. Perhaps this commedia dell'arte personality shows with his inability to "keep his mouth shut," as Viktor details.

It's been speculated that Scaramouche will be formally released as a character when Inazume becomes available to the public. However, Tartaglia was released during the Liyue chapter and comes from the Cryo region Snezhnaya, which is rumored to be the final chapter of Genshin Impact's main story. This means that Scaramouche could potentially release at any time.

That's all that's currently known about Scaramouche. Again, players shouldn't expect him to release anytime soon. It seems like Genshin Impact is getting geared up for the Dendro region, and some fans believe that Sumeru might release before Inazuma does. On the other hand, Genshin Impact leakers reassure that Inazuma is on the way first; however, it likely won't be coming with Version 1.5

Genshin Impact is currently available on mobile devices, PC, and PlayStation 4. PS5 and Switch versions are expected to release in 2021.
