Weapons play a massive role in Genshin Impact as they can be the difference between a character performing brilliantly or insufficiently. While upgrading weapons, Travelers eventually have to Ascend the equipment, and for this, Elite Enemy drops are required.
Some of the available Elite Enemies in Genshin Impact are Automatons like Ruin Guard, Ruin Grader, Ruin Sentinels, Ruin Drake, and so on. Players can refer to this guide for Ruin Drake locations and farming routes in Genshin Impact.
Ruin Drake Locations In Genshin Impact
Ruin Drakes are released after Sumeru becomes available, so it’s not available in the preceding regions like Inazuma, Liyue, and Mondstadt. Therefore, there aren’t too many of these enemies on the map.
Dharma Forest
Seven Ruin Drakes are wandering around the northern part of Sumeru’s Dharma Forest. All of them are above ground, so players should be able to spot them easily.
After defeating the first wave of Ruin Drakes, head to the southern area to find a few more of the Automatons around Devantaka Mountain and the Ruins of Dahri.
Underground Ruin Drake
Out of all the available Ruin Drakes, there are four that can be found underground. For the one north of Pardis Dhyai, players must complete the Legend of the Stone Lock quest and drain the water from the cave. This can be done by destroying all Stone Pillar Seals in Genshin Impact. However, since there’s only one of the robots in this place, it may not be worth doing the task just for one extra enemy.
Meanwhile, the Ruin Drakes in Ruins of Dahri can be located by entering the underground entrance in the middle of the location (marked in X). Then, venture deeper until players arrive at the Grove of Dreams. Three Ruin Drakes can be found here.
Glide down until a bunch of Crystal Chunks can be found to see the first robot; beat this enemy to summon a second one. Then, head southeast to meet another Ruin Drake with two Genshin Impact Ruin Sentinels.
Land of Upper Setekh
After venturing underground, go to the desert where plenty of Ruin Drakes are wandering the edge of the map.
Land of Lower Setekh
Around the Lower Setekh, a few more Ruin Drakes are available.
Desert of Hadramaveth
Six Ruin Drakes can be farmed in the Desert of Hadramaveth. Those who have done the main quest with Jeht in Genshin Impact may be able to find one more of the Automaton south of the Wounded Shin Valley, where the giant Ruin Guard crashed down.
Gavireh Lajavard
Finally, people can travel to the Gavireh Lajavard for five more Ruin Drakes farming.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
