Genshin Impact officially confirmed two new characters named Wanderer and Faruzan for the upcoming version 3.3. According to HoYoverse's usual update schedule, the new update will arrive in the first part of December considering that 3.2 will be one week shorter than the usual update.

There is a lot of hype around these two Genshin Impact characters considering that they have been mentioned in numerous leaks over the last couple of months. While there is no official information about in what banner cycle they will be placed, it's safe to assume that the characters will appear on separate banners.

After months of speculation, the official Genshin Impact Twitter account has finally confirmed that Wanderer and Faruzan will join the playable roster. Wanderer, previously known as Scaramouche, is probably one of the most anticipated characters in the game due to his importance to the overall storyline. Since his first appearance during the Unreconciled Stars event, players have started wondering if Scaramouche could become a part of the playable roster. The ongoing Sumeru arc has revealed that he was originally planned to be the Electro Archon, but after being born he shed some tears which led Ei to believe that he is too weak for the role.

Ei sealed his powers and let the Wanderer choose his path which led him to become a part of the infamous Fatui organization where he became known as Scaramouche. He proved himself to the Cryo Archon Tsaritsa and became one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. His absence from the "A Winter Night's Lazzo" trailer led many players to accurately predict that Scaramouche could play an important role in the ongoing Sumeru Arc in which he is confirmed to appear as a new weekly boss.

However, before joining the playable roster, Scaramouche will probably switch to the good side after being defeated by the Traveler. Despite being able to control the Electro element in the past, the official splash art has confirmed that the Wanderer will be equipped with an Anemo Vision.

Even though she is confirmed to arrive in the next update, there is still not a lot of information about Faruzan. She is a member of the Sumeru Akademiya who mysteriously disappeared from the Sumeru region. HoYoverse confirmed that Faruzan will be a new Anemo character just like the Wanderer. While the official announcement did not reveal her weapon type, but she is expected to be a bow user.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
