Originally, the task to remove the boulder was assigned to a Mondstadt Knight. Alas, she got grounded, along with her guardian, the so-called Cavalry Captain. Luckily, as Travelers follow Zhiqiong on her feat to map the whole Chasm, they come across Clitopho in a cage. It seems that he has crossed the Treasure Hoarders and is now being locked up.
After saving Clitopho, Zhiqiong will firmly state her disagreement with bringing a criminal to the camp. However, Jinwu, having known the guy for a while, decides to ignore Zhiqiong's opinion. To let the ex-Treasure Hoarder prove himself, Jinwu assigns him the task to activate the cannon. Luckily, in the end, all went well. For players to reach this conclusion, they must first know how to release the safety on the cannon's breach in Genshin Impact.
How To Release The Safety On The Cannon's Breach In Genshin Impact
Releasing the safety on the cannon's breach in Genshin Impact is an important step to fire the cannon and break a boulder that blocks one part of The Chasm. To start this task, first, read the Safe Blasting Device Signaling Guide.
Players will be given instructions to change the lamp posts' frequency:
- High-frequency: The lamp will flicker constantly
- Low-frequency: The lamp will flicker slowly
Next, observe the lamp posts from the current location. Players can see that there are three flickering lamps. The nearest one is the high lamp post, while the furthest one is the low lamp post.
The high lamp post should be low frequency. Jump from the observation point and directly glide to the lamp post’s location.
The medium lamp post is also low frequency. Players can reach it by simply gliding from the first lamp post.
Meanwhile, the low lamp post should be in high frequency. Reaching this lamp post requires Travelers to walk on the ground southeast from the second lamp post.
After releasing the safety on the cannon’s breach in Genshin Impact, players can proceed with The Chasm Delvers quest and activate the mortar to destroy a rock boulder. Doing this is crucial for both the World Quest and the brand new Archon Quest, where it will open the passage that leads to the Stony Halls.
