The world of Teyvat consists of seven major regions, each based on a real-life location. Every region in the game also has its symbolic element and an Archon who serves as its main protector.
Out of Genshin Impact's seven main nations, only four are currently explorable with Sumeru being the most recently added one. The home of the God of Wisdom introduced a brand-new element named Dendro, adding much-needed diversity to the game's combat system with eight new elemental reactions.

Even though the in-game map shows the progress for each subregion, it does not specify their exact borders. Players who want to use this map should try to combine it with Genshin Impact's official interactive map that shows the location of all the important items in the game. Maxing out the exploration progress on the whole map is no easy task, and this map will definitely come in handy.
