After speaking with Ji Tong and obtaining the Kurious Kamera in Genshin Impact, players can use the device to get pictures of five colors. Those colors are crimson, ultramarine, pale gold, ochre, and purple aster, and fans will need a photo of each type in order to claim a Fortune Trove and earn the associated rewards. However, the way that these colored photos are made in Genshin Impact may not immediately obvious, and this guide is here to clarify the matter.

To begin, it may be pertinent to say a few words about the functionality of the Kurious Kamera. Simply, players that want to take photos with this device must equip it from within the Gadget inventory tab, press the input that is displayed below the Kamera near the bottom-right corner of the screen, and point the viewfinder at the item of interest. Notably, these items must be objects that fans can pickup, like flowers in Genshin Impact, but the specific item that is selected does not really matter.

This is due to the fact that the colors of the pictures that are created by the Kurious Kamera are entirely random and have no connection to the item being photographed. As such, Genshin Impact players do not need to put any real time toward locating items of specific colors, as they have a chance to get a red, blue, yellow, brown, or purple picture from any item that they photograph. While this may feel slightly counterintuitive, it does play into Ji Tong's indication that the Kamera is on the fritz.

To note, it is only possible to take 10 photos with Genshin Impact's Kurious Kamera each day, and the random nature of the device can lead to situations where a player uses up all of their charges without obtaining a picture of every color. Fortunately, fans can swap photos with one another in order to fill any gaps that they might have. To do this, players should simply select Photo Swap from the Five Flushes of Fortune event overview and browse the resulting list.

Once a red, blue, yellow, brown, and purple photo has been collected, players are ready to return to Ji Tong and claim a Fortune Trove. Upon confirming the exchange, these fans will receive 60 Primogems and either 12 Hero's Wits, 24 Mystic Enchantment Ore, 0r 120,000 Mora. This is not a one time deal, though, as Genshin Impact players can claim eight Troves during the event, and they will be rewarded each time that they do so.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
