In Genshin Impact 2.5, players have the chance to experience the sequel to Raiden Shogun's story quest. After finishing this scenario, Travelers will also unlock Yae Miko's story quest. The Guuji may not appear that often in the plot, but her persona easily captivates the fans, making her one of the most anticipated characters in Genshin Impact.

Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter Act 2 Walkthrough

Lumine talking to Katheryne

To start Act 2 of the Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter, players have to talk to Katheryne in Inazuma. She will inform players that Rifthounds have been attacking the Sacred Sakura tree. The Yashiro Commission is handling it, but they're overwhelmed by the number.

To help with the crisis, Travelers have to investigate the designated spot near Mt. Yougou. There, players have to defeat some Genshin Impact Rifthounds. After a while, Ei arrives and helps the protagonist eradicate the monsters.

Following Rifthound trails

To see if there are more Rifthounds in the area, players must follow a trail of blueish stain. This will be marked with a white arrow on top of it. Note that players have to follow the trail one by one, as skipping them may cause the quest to not move forward.

When this happens, simply walk back to the last trail, and walk as close as possible to the blue stain until the camera shifts. Once the camera moves, players can proceed with the quest.

Kitamura ghost in Inazuma

As players approach the Araumi area, they will find a leak of "Ley Line filth," which appears as a memory. After a small conversation, continue moving forward until Travelers find more Rifthounds. Like before, the party will be locked with only Raiden Shogun in it.

Ei meeting Furuyama

A memory appears anew. This time, it's Furuyama, a former tea-brewer for the Shogunate. The old man wishes to make tea for the Archon, but as there's no tea set amidst Araumi's open-land. Travelers have to fetch them at the Kamisato Estate. Unfortunately, when players return, the entity is already gone.

Following Rifthound trails to the beach

After further nostalgia, continue following the trail. This time, the stain can be seen near the shore.

Once more, the Electro Archon insists on battling the enemies. Throughout this fight, Ei may become immobile. Do not fret as this is normal and is related to the story.

Just like the other two times, a memory appears in the form of three Samurai. Seeing the Shogun in trouble, they gladly help with the next wave of Rifthounds. Now, players can defeat the enemies using their current party.

After the monsters are all gone, Ei will find herself unable to move. She says that it's because her puppet is rejecting Ei's control over the body. To deal with the issue, she decides to fight the puppet in Raiden Makoto's realm of consciousness​​​.

Inside, Ei has to battle Raiden Shogun, her puppet's consciousness. Again, only the Electro Archon will be present in this fight. To defeat the Raiden Shogun boss, just keep on hitting them until the fight ends. The puppet will continuously regenerate health, but eventually, they will be defeated. In case things go south, players can use the NRE Gadget and assign 3-star healing foods. Additionally, using attack and defense buff may be useful as well.

Unfortunately, defeating the puppet proves to be a complicated task. Even after beating her, the vessel will get back on her feet, and she will challenge Ei again. Knowing that this battle will not end anytime soon, the Electro Archon orders the players to get out and put Yae Miko in charge of Inazuma.

The protagonist will be kicked out of the realm, and so they have to go up the mountain to find Yae Miko at the Shrine. The Guuji instantly notices that something is wrong, and upon hearing the issue, she has no choice but to help.

Yae Miko assists the Traveler to go back to Raiden Makoto's realm of consciousness. Players will get to watch a cool cutscene when this happens.

Fighting Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact

As the flow of time in the realm does not match those of the actual world, the battle inside has been going on for many years. Because of this, the puppet finally offers a final fight with Ei. Like before, only the Electro Archon is playable in the duel. Her Mussou Isshin will be active permanently, so smashing buttons is all players have to do to win the battle.

This time, the puppet admits defeat and agrees to move on from the idea of eternity. The vessel says that she's ready to be the shadow for Ei, just as Ei once was for Makoto. Shortly after, a heartfelt cutscene will start.

Follow through a little more conversation at the Grand Narukami Shrine, and the quest will end.

Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter - Act II end screen

Raiden Shogun's second story quest brings a lot more information on what had happened in Inazuma and creates even more questions on what happened 500 years ago in Khaenri'ah. Either way, though, Inazuma seems to be moving toward a brighter future, where Ei is finally able to let go of the past and her ideal of Eternity.
