Since HoYoverse released Genshin Impact in 2020, players have explored the vast open landscapes to discover every nook and cranny between completing important objectives and events. One Genshin Impact fan decided to climb one of the tallest rocks in Inazuma in order to reach an Electroculus at the top and something unexpected happened as a result.

Reddit user Siegeholm recently posted a clip of their Genshin Impact adventure in which they are climbing a notably tall rock near the middle of Inazuma. Inazuma is one of the primary regions in Genshin Impact, and it is a zone that many players will navigate intently at first as they progress through a number of quests. Atop the massive rock in Siegeholm's video is one of several Electroculus in Inazuma and upon collecting the floating purple orb, Siegeholm is struck by lightning in their video.

Siegeholm's clip begins with the player taking their final jumps up the aforementioned rock to reach its pinnacle and the Electroculus at the top. Rain falls rapidly from the sky in Siegeholm's video as the Genshin Impact player pauses to observe the landscape around them while it is occasionally lit up by lightning. Two lightning bolts narrowly miss Siegeholm as they look around the zone at the vast color pallet used to create Genshin Impact's Inazuma before one bolt finally connects with the player and the rock beneath their feet crumbles.

A small blue field of energy gathers around Siegeholm in the Genshin Impact clip as they are warned of the upcoming lightning bolt, but the player remains in place and soon plummets to the ground below. Siegeholm's Genshin Impact character Xiao, an Anemo hero, is immediately turned around to face the tall rock they were once on top of after being struck by the lightning. Because of the ragdoll mechanics of Genshin Impact, Siegeholm is unable to recover from the blast and Xiao is met with an unavoidable death upon hitting the surface of Inazuma.

While many Genshin Impact fans have expressed their enthusiasm at Siegeholm's expense, others have given the new Genshin Impact player some tips for overcoming obstacles in the game. These players particularly note the versatility of Genshin Impact's Barbara at Constellation 6 level that would have resulted in the hero shaking off such lightning bolts compared to how Xiao reacts in Siegeholm's clip. Some Genshin Impact fans also stated that the storm of Inazuma is eternal, so other players may be able to recreate the fall experienced by Siegeholm after lingering on the tall stone if they choose to.

Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
