HoYoverse's action-RPG Genshin Impact is filled with breathtaking landscapes in which dangerous monsters await to cross swords with one of the main characters. Among those fearless beasts, there are a couple of unique enemies that are more friendly than the others.

The Unusual Hilichurl Wei is a Genshin Impact Easter egg enemy that can spawn in over 10 different locations around Liyue and Mondstadt. He can be recognized by a unique mask that reads "Wei" which is a reference to HoYoverse's general president, Liu Wei.

Redditor Crashkitsune has shared a video featuring this unique NPC and one of the starting characters, the Pyro user Amber. The video shows a player pushing Wei all the way from Lingju Pass to the recently added Genshin Impact region named Chasm. Crashkitsune managed to move Wei simply by running into his model with Amber which took them over an hour. The video has already gathered over 2.2k upvotes and numerous fans in the comment section claim that they are amazed by the amount of dedication the player put into this unique journey.

Multiple comments state that funniest thing about this whole interaction is the fact that Wei didn't die from the initial fall damage. Crashkitsune had to use Amber's elemental skill, Explosive Puppet, to drop the taunting Baron Bunny which explodes upon expiring. Even though fans can hardly see Wei at the end of the video, the fact that the player receives XP after the Bunny damage means that he died from the explosion.

It has become a tradition for players to experiment with the Unusual Hilichurl whenever he appears on their screen, especially if they are out of Resin. Chasm is a unique location that was added to the game in the previous Genshin Impact update 2.6. It is divided into two main parts, one that game's overworld, and the underground mines which work as a separate instance.

It's become common for newly added terrain to work this way and even the last major region that was added, Inazuma, can't be accessed directly from Mondstadt or Liyue, meaning that players are required to take a boat or use a teleport waypoint. Recent Genshin Impact leaks have revealed that Version 2.8 will most likely bring a new region which will be a part of the new Golden Apple Archipelago event, meaning that the islands will most likely be around for the duration of the update.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
