Genshin Impact has released the official character teaser for one of the upcoming characters, the new Hydro user Neuvillette. The most recent live stream event has confirmed that Neuvillette will be featured in the first banner cycle of version 4.1 which is scheduled to drop around September 27.

Neuvillette has already made a couple of appearances in Genshin Impact's main storyline where he was introduced as a calm, friendly, and extremely powerful character who managed to beat Tartaglia with a single attack. Players will get to find out more about this character in the upcoming update which will probably focus on his backstory.

Genshin Impact's official YouTube channel has revealed the teaser video named Neuvillette: Watcher in the Deep which features the new Hydro user. The teaser shows Neuvillette zoning out in his office, remembering the old days before he gets interrupted by his assistant. Some Genshin Impact rumors claim that this Hydro user could be even stronger than the Fontaine Archon Furina herself which is uncommon for the game's playable characters. Playing the role of the Chief Justice, Neuvillette is widely considered one of the most important characters in the whole nation of Fontaine. Players have been comparing him to Zhongli because they both exude a similar calmness in their personalities.

When it comes to his power on the field, Neuvillette is expected to be a new DPS character with a kit that revolves around his Charged Attack. Similar to a couple of other playable units like Ganyu or Lyney, Neuvillette will have a unique Charged Attack that allows him to fire a Hydro beam that deals tons of damage to a group of enemies.

However, it should be noted that while performing this attack, Neuvillete will constantly lose HP until his health bar reaches 50%. This should not be a huge issue considering that most Hydro users require players to build as much HP as possible which means that Neuvillette should be fairly safe even if his health points are cut in half. Many fans also claim that Neuvillette has some of the best combat animations in the game.

Neuvillette will be joined by the popular Pyro polearm user Hu Tao on their Limited Character Banner. The two characters could have decent synergy since their elements can trigger Vaporize which is one of the most powerful elemental reactions in Genshin Impact. The live stream event also confirmed that the second banner cycle will introduce another catalyst user by the name of Wriothesley.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
