What's Known About Genshin Impact 4.5

New Characters and Reruns in 4.5

One of the most anticipated characters in the upcoming version is the new character, Chiori. From what's been seen about her kit in leaks, she seems to have a similar role to Albedo in parties. Her little puppet attacks alongside players and makes her work like a sub-DPS. Her burst deals AOE Geo DMG and her kit may also infuse her weapon with Geo similarly to Genshin Impact's Keqing.

But she isn't the only one on the way. Though there has been some back and forth about the matter, the predicted characters getting a rerun in this version are Genshin Impact's Arataki Itto, Neuvillette, and Kazuha. All of these units are strong and can be game-changing for the player who has the appropriate units for them. Kazuha is a catch-all who can replace other units like Venti, Sucrose, or Lynette. Neuvillette is game-breaking, enough to the point that one of the popular Spiral Abyss teams from his launch version was just him alone. For Itto, it's recommended that players have the following:

  • Gorou (designated support)
  • Albedo (Geo sub-DPS)
  • Zhongli (Geo support and potential sub-DPS)
  • Bennett (buffer/healer)

New Additions to Genshin Impact

Perhaps one of the biggest things being added to Genshin Impact, according to recent rumors, is a third banner. It is also limited, but likely to remain in place for the entire patch rather than work like the other banners--however, that is speculation at the moment. It's said to be a regional banner, featuring Genshin Impact characters from one nation and one nation only. In version 4.5, it's rumored to be Mondstadt that dominates this regional banner.

As of right now, the characters people are saying are on the banner include Genshin Impact's Albedo, Klee, and Eula. It's also implied that their signature weapons will be on the banner as well, which leaves fans wondering what will show up for Klee and Albedo, whose best-in-slot weapons were limited four-star event weapons. Speaking of weapons, the free weapon during the version's event is allegedly a four-star HP sub-stat polearm--which is odd, since it doesn't appear to be good for any of the rate-up characters. However, it may be good for:

  • Arlecchino (Speculation)
  • Yao Yao
  • Chevreuse

There is also a bundle coming to the Genshin Impact shop that is said to feature sets of five-star weapons. It is, of course, paid. There were a lot of misconceptions surrounding the introduction of this bundle. At first, rumors spread that it would be possible to buy weapons with Starglitter, obtained from wishing on banners, in the shop alongside the other four-star characters and weapons. However, this has had no backing from any reliable leakers; instead, this bundle has the backing and support from data miners.
