Each round of Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG eventually has to end as players have limited Dice to use. At the start of each round, during the Roll Phase, eight Dice will be rolled. More of these Dice can later be obtained through various cards.
Because of this limitation, it’s important to count the available Dice and plan out the rest of the round. However, if Travelers are struggling in managing their Dice, then these tips and a list of cards may help in better Dice management in Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG.
How To Manage Your Dice In Genshin Impact TCG
There are a few ways players can manage their Dice in Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG:
- Manually picking the Dice
- Rerolling the Dice
- Using cards that reduce Dice cost or add Dice
Select Dice Manually
When using cards, the game will automatically select Dice that don’t match the current active character in Genshin Impact.
For example, if there are 3 Pyro Dice, 3 Hydro Dice, and 1 Omni Element Dice, and players want to use the Tubby card (costs 2 Dice of the same Genshin Impact Element), the game will select the following Dice:
- If the active character is Pyro: 2 Hydro Dice are automatically selected
- If the active character is Hydro: 2 Pyro Dice are automatically selected
Now, consider the following scenario:
- There are 2 Pyro Dice and 3 Hydro Dice
- The current active character is Diluc
- Players wish to use the Tubby card and then use the Dawn Winery card
- Afterward, players want to switch to Oceanid to use Oceanid’s Elemental Skill (costs 3 Hydro Dice to cast)
When Tubby is used, the game will automatically select 2 Genshin Impact Hydro Dice to use Tubby. This is bad as it means Oceanid won’t get to immediately use Elemental Skill afterward. Luckily, players can manually select the Dice. In this scenario, the best move would be:
- Use Tubby by manually selecting 2 Pyro Dice
- Use Dawn Winery card for free thanks to Tubby’s effect
- Switch to Oceanid for free thanks to Dawn Winery’s effect
- Use Oceanid’s Skill by using 3 Hydro Dice
Dice Rerolling
For this method, players should know how to re-roll and conduct Elemental Tuning. Elemental Tuning can be done by discarding a card to turn one Dice into an Element that matches the active character. Other than that, some cards like The Bestest Travel Companion! Can also assist in turning any Dice into Omni Element ones. Additionally, players can also use the Strategize card to instantly draw 2 cards, allowing one extra Genshin Impact Elemental Tuning to be performed.
Meanwhile, rerolling is mostly done during the Roll Phase. When the Roll Phase is conducted, players will roll eight Dice. After that, they have one chance to reroll the Dice they don’t need. However, this chance can be increased by using some cards.
Here are some notable cards players should know for this Dice management method:
Card Name | Effect | Card Type | Cost |
---|---|---|---|
Knights of Favonius Library | Reroll any Elemental Dice upon use. Afterward, players can reroll any dice one additional time during the Roll Phase |
