A new leak from Genshin Impact has revealed a trio of upcoming characters that will be added to the RPG in the future, with each previously rumored. With just a few weeks left until the HoYoverse RPG introduces its newest playable region, fans have already been treated to teasers for plenty of new roster members. A recent trailer for Fontaine showed off several rumored characters including Lyney, Lynette, and Arlecchino among several others. Now, leaks are hinting at the impending arrival of a group of highly-requested Liyue characters.
While many of Genshin Impact's recent leaks have revealed more details about the Fontaine region, the game's other regions have also been heavily rumored to be receiving new characters. Leaks have claimed that Grand Master Varka of Mondstadt's Knights of Favonius may finally make his debut, after being referenced heavily in the story of the first region. Each of Genshin Impact's past regions are also rumored to see a new character added to the game, including a mummy girl from Sumeru among others. Now, fresh leaks are claiming three new Adeptus characters from Liyue are coming soon.
A recent update shared by prominent Genshin Impact leaker Tao via Uncle A has revealed that Cloud Retainer, Madame Ping, and Guizhong will all become playable within the game. While the three Adepti had previously been rumored to become playable, the new update reportedly hard confirms their impending debut within the roster. Cloud Retainer and Madame Ping both play major roles within the story of the Liyue region, while Guizhong has been heavily referenced throughout the game's story and events. A release window was not given for any of the three characters.
The addition of the Liyue's newest characters come as Cloud Retainer, in particular, has often been rumored to become playable in the game. Cloud Retainer has seen teasers of her human form through the "Exquisite Night Chimes" event during Genshin Impact's Version 3.4, playing a major role in the annual Lantern Rite event. Madame Ping has also been rumored to appear in a younger form, with fans already familiar with the old Adeptus who rewards players with the Serenitea Pot. Guizhong's debut would be her first in-game appearance outside animated cutscenes.
Rumors about impending additions to Genshin Impact's cast suggest the game's roster will grow substantially throughout the coming patches.
