A new leak from Genshin Impact is hinting at the next member of the Fatui's Harbingers set to become playable, rumored to be arriving during the Fontaine cycle. Leaks for the massively popular RPG from HoYoverse have already revealed plenty of new characters set to join the game. The developer recently introduced Kirara as the newest character coming with Version 3.7, after seeing numerous leaks related to her appearance and kit. Leaks have even extended as far as the RPG's Fontaine update, including a new member of the Fatui.
The Fatui, hailing from the northern region of Snezhnaya, have served as Genshin Impact's main antagonist throughout the story, meddling in the affairs of the many regions players have visited. The organization has already seen two of its Harbingers become playable characters with both Tartaglia and Wanderer made available through the game's gacha system. Rumors have also heavily persisted around future members of the organization planned for the game, including the popular Arlecchino and Dottore. Now, a new leak is sharing more information about the next playable Harbinger.
A recent update from Genshin Impact leaker Keikakutori has revealed more information about the next Fatui Harbinger to join the playable roster. The leak joins earlier rumors claiming a Fatui member will be added to the game during the game's Fontaine update cycle, however Keikakutori was not aware of their exact identity. The playable Fatui character was revealed to be a female member of the organization, narrowing down the potential candidates for playability. The leak would also confirm that Fontaine's Harbinger would not be the heavily rumored Arlecchino, despite her supposed involvement with Fontaine's story.
The Fatui-related update comes as recent leaks have given plenty of hints about the involvement of the Fatui with Fontaine's story. The previously mentioned Arlecchino is believed to be heavily involved with the story of the Hydro Archon's region, with others including Dottore and Sandrone rumored to appear. Fontaine has also seen several of its character models leaked in recent months with more than 10 upcoming Fontaine characters seeing early reveals. Genshin Impact's newest region is expected to arrive with the Version 4.0 update this summer.
While leaks are already teasing the characters and story of Fontaine, Genshin Impact's most recent update has already given players new areas to explore. The Version 3.6 update for Genshin Impact introduced yet another new expansion to the Sumeru region, adding a new section of the region's desert. Version 3.6 also added two new characters to the game with the long-awaited Baizhu and Kaveh joining the RPG's roster. While fans wait for official news about the new region and its characters, HoYoverse continues to bring new adventures to its pre-existing locales.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
