Genshin Impact's world is filled with terrifying monsters that patiently await for their battles with the Traveler. Most of the enemies have one or more elements in their kit which allow them to deal elemental damage.
With the recent rumors claiming that the addition of a new element is just around the corner, players can expect a new set of Dendro themed enemies to arrive. A recent Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about one of the upcoming Wolrd Bosses.
WIth the whole Inazuma arc coming to an end, fans are expecting a brand-new Genshin Impact region to arrive in the upcoming updates. According to multiple leaks, the new region will finally put the long-awaited Dendro element into the spotlight. A popular leaker named Project Celestia has revealed more details about the game's first Dendro World boss. The current beta includes a couple of files that have the "Jade-Plumed Terrorshroom" which is expected to be its official name. The boss will apparently drop an item named "Nagadus Emerald Gem," which will apparently serve as the character ascension material used for leveling Dendro characters in the future.
Project Celestia claims that the new boss will probably not be a part of the upcoming Genshin Impact update 2.8. Assuming that the previous leaks about 2.8 being the last Inazuma update are true, players can expect the new boss to arrive in 3.0, which should drop at the end of August. However, recent rumors revealed that either 2.7 or 2.8 will be shorter than usual updates in order to compensate the recent three-week update delay, meaning that 3.0 could arrive a couple of weeks earlier than expected.
Dendro is the only Genshin Impact element that is not featured on any playable character at the moment. There is a lot of hype surrounding its arrival, and it's probably the game's most anticipated addition. The arrival of a new element will probably impact the current character power ranking considering that it will introduce additional Dendro elemental reactions.
The new major update will also introduce a new main nation named Sumeru. Multiple NPCs in the game describe Sumeru as a mysterious region filled with forests and deserts. When it comes to the new Dendro characters, Baizhu and Yaoyao have been rumored to arrive since the game arrived back in 2020. Yaoyao is the only original beta character that is missing from the playable roster. Apart from these two, players can expect Sumeru's Archon, Kusanali, to arrive shortly after 3.0 drops.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
