A recent Genshin Impact leak reveals that the popular Hydro user Yelan will receive an interesting change in the upcoming update. The current version 3.3 is at its halfway point, meaning another set of characters and weapons is about to be featured on the game's limited banners.

Each Genshin Impact banner cycle features one or two limited five-star characters and three four-star units. Players who want to acquire the new character Wanderer and the Geo user Ataraki Itto, as well as their signature weapons, should try to pull on their banners as soon as possible since they are scheduled to expire on December 27.

A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit shows that the Hydro character Yelan will receive some model changes in the upcoming Genshin Impact update 3.4. According to a leak, the current 3.4 beta phase has Yelan's model changed, and she now has fingernails on her hands. Yelan not having fingernails has apparently been a big issue, especially in the game's Chinese community. According to the comment section, many players were surprised by this change since HoYoverse rarely makes any changes to their existing in-game models.

This Hydro bow user is rumored to arrive on one of the Limited Character Banners in update 3.4. According to credible Genshin Impact leaks, Yelan is expected to appear in the second part of the next update. She is a very popular character in the community and her first banner appearance even broke a couple of revenue records. Yelan was released back in 2.5 and this will be her first re-run after seven months.

When it comes to her strengths on the field, despite being able to dish out tons of Hydro damage, Yelan is more suited for the support or sub-DPS role. Yelan's kit allows her to apply the Hydro element even when she's not on the field which makes her a great choice for team comps that require constant elemental application.

Yelan will apparently arrive alongside another famous character named Hu Tao who has not appeared on a banner for 10 consecutive updates, which is an all-time Genshin Impact record. Unlike Yelan, Hu Tao's primary role is main DPS which means that players who pull for both characters already have a strong team that has the ability to trigger one of the best reactions in the game, Vaporize.

Genshin Impact is available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version also in development.
