A new Genshin Impact leak has confirmed the three characters that will receive a banner re-run in the upcoming update 3.4. Re-runs allow players to pull for their favorite characters even if they missed their initial release and some of these characters like Childe or Zhongli already had three or more banner appearances. The official Genshin Impact social media accounts already revealed two new roster additions for the upcoming update, Alhaitham, and Yaoyao. While Alhaitham is confirmed to be a five-star character, Yaoyao will apparently have a lower four-star rarity.RELATED: Genshin Impact Fan Shares Impressive Ruin, Khaenri'ah and Desert GlidersA popular leaker named Yukizero has revealed which five-star characters will appear on the upcoming banners for Genshin Impact update 3.4. According to the leak, the first banner will feature the two new characters, Alhaitham and Yaoyao, which means that in order to acquire both of them, players will need to spend their Primogems on only one Limited Character Banner. This cycle will also include the Anemo user Xiao. Fans expect this banner to do very well in terms of revenue as it includes both new characters as well as Xiao, who has become even stronger with the new Anemo support Faruzan that arrived in the current update.

The second banner will finally introduce a re-run for the Pyro character Hu Tao. Despite being one of the most popular Genshin Impact characters, Hu Tao went ten consecutive updates without receiving a re-run. She made her debut back in version 1.3 which was the only update in the game's history to feature three separate banner cycles. Since then, Hu Tao appeared on only one occasion during update 2.2 which arrived in November 2022. She is considered one of the best DPS characters in the game with a unique play style that could take some time to get used to.

Hu Tao will arrive alongside the Hydro user Yelan who will receive her first re-run after being released in update 2.7. Her first appearance broke a couple of Genshin Impact's revenue records probably due to the three-week delay that allowed players to gather more Primogems. Despite being able to dish out tons of damage, Yelan's best roles are probably sub-DPS or support for most team compositions.

Yelan also works well with the recently released Wanderer thanks to her ability to apply Hydro damage even when she's not on the field. Even though HoYoverse is yet to officially reveal the release date for the next Genshin Impact update, players can expect the new patch to drop around January 16, 2023.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
