Historically, Genshin Impact has launched a new nation with each x.0 update, meaning Natlan will likely drop in Version 5.0 near the end of August.

Out of all Genshin Impact's unreleased nations, Natlan is the most mysterious one. Since the game's release, players have met both playable and non-playable characters from various nations even before they were available, including Sumeru, Fontaine, Snezhnaya, and Khaenri'ah. However, no native characters from Natlan have ever appeared in-game. Luckily for fans, the suspense may end soon, thanks to a recent leak that suggests a new Natlan trailer is just around the corner.

A new leak from Full Stop Chan reveals that HoYoverse will share the next Natlan trailer on July 12. This would be the first look at the Nation of War since May, when Genshin Impact showcased Natlan's environment and Saurian beasts during the 4.7 livestream. The trailer showed three species of adorable Saurians and their transportation mechanics, but no characters were spotted. On the other hand, Version 4.8's livestream will be held on July 5, which means the rumored Natlan trailer won't be part of it.

Version 4.8 should mark the end of Genshin Impact's Fontaine era, given how the game usually skips the x.9 update before jumping to the next region.
