A new set of Genshin Impact leaks reveal more information about one of the most popular characters in the game, the new Dendro Archon Nahida. At the moment, Nahida is the main NPC in the current Archon quest that takes place in the new Sumeru region.

While HoYoverse is yet to confirm her as a playable character, Nahida will certainly join the roster in one of the upcoming Genshin Impact updates. Previous leaks have revealed that Nahida will be a new five-star character with strong supportive capabilities.

She is the new Dendro Archon who serves as the main protector of the Sumeru residents. According to one of the most credible leakers in the game named hxg_diluc, Nahida will apparently be able to apply the Dendro element while moving, though the leaker does not clarify if it's just an alternate sprint or a skill. At the moment, only Mona and Ayaka can apply their respective elements while in their sprinting animations. Nahida's elemental burst will apparently be very similar to the Traveler's burst called Surgent Manifestation, which creates a Lea Lotus Lamp which deals Dendro damage within a large area.

Just like the Traveler's lamp, Nahida's burst will react differently when it's exposed to Hydro, Pyro, and Electro. However, while their kits seem similar, hxg_diluc confirmed that Nahida's Dendro application is much stronger and seamless. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that she will probably become a must-have character, especially for team compositions that rely on triggering one of the new Genshin Impact elemental reactions.

Even though a part of the community voiced their opinions about Nahida's design, claiming that they expected a more polished model that is worthy of the Archon name, a recent Genshin Impact survey reveals that she is still the by far most popular upcoming character. The main reason why HoYoverse decided to give her a smaller child-like model is probably the fact that she is the youngest out of the seven Genshin Impact Archons.

When it comes to her release date, there is still no official information but HoYoverse's recent 3.1 live stream even confirmed that she won't be a part of the upcoming Genshin Impact update 3.1. However, there is a chance that Nahida arrives in version 3.2 which should arrive on November 7, at least according to HoYoverse's new update schedule.

Genshin Impact is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
