Through the game's lore, there are a total of seven main Genshin Impact nations spread across the vast world of Teyvat. So far the game has only introduced three of them with Inazuma being the most recent addition.

Recent Genshin Impact rumors claim that with the end of the whole Inazuma arc, a new major region is just around the corner. A brand-new leak apparently reveals more information about some of the upcoming content.

Previous Genshin Impact leaks have already revealed that the next major update will introduce the mysterious region of Sumeru. A new leaker named Touchingfish3 has apparently revealed additional information about some of the characters that will appear in the foreseeable future. According to the leak, the following names will be related to the new Sumeru region: Nahida, Nilou, Tighnari, Dori, Layla, Djajeet, Soutine, Ikhfa, and Nafs. While most of the names probably won't be playable characters, players can expect some of them to join the playable roster.

Even though this leak does not mention anything about the popular Dendro Archon Lesser Lord Kusanali, players can expect this character to arrive shortly after Sumeru. Also known as the God of Wisdom, Kusanali serves as the protector of the Sumeru nation. Out of the seven Genshin Impact Archons, Kusanali is one of the youngest, as she became an Archon five hundred years ago after the cataclysm.

The most exciting thing about the addition of Sumeru is probably the fact that it will finally introduce the long-awaited Dendro element. Previous Genshin Impact leaks have already revealed more information about some Dendro elemental reactions. So far, the rumors have mentioned only two new elemental reactions called Intensified and Overgrown. Intensified can be triggered by combining Dendro and Electro, and it grants a significant damage buff against a target for 7 seconds. Overgrown causes explosive seeds to drop on the floor after players apply Dendro on Hydro and vice versa.

Each region in the game represents a real-life location along with its culture, and the community expects Sumeru to be based on Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The game's official story describes the Sumeru region as a mysterious region filled with deserts and forests. The leak also mentioned the new region will have rainforests with giant trees which makes sense considering that previous leaks have already revealed a part of Sumeru's model. The leak also confirms that two popular four-star characters, Amber and Sucrose, will receive skins.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
