Genshin Impact could have a 5-Star character in Version 4.8 after all, as recent information claims that Emilie will be released before Natlan. Though her concept art was leaked with the rest of the Fontaine cast, Emilie was strongly suspected of being moved back to Version 5.0 and beyond. Recent updates in Genshin Impact have introduced characters such as Navia, who has transformed the way Crystallize works as an Elemental Reaction. Emilie was expected to do the same for the Burning reaction via her Ascension talents, but her exact release date kept being in flux.

However, as leaks about Emilie's weapon type and ability kit began to emerge, the possibility of her showing up in Version 4.8 grew stronger. While Version 4.7 is adding three new characters to Genshin Impact, Version 4.8 is expected to be a Summer Event update – featuring a temporary zone and a likely rerun of Nilou and Navia, if their appearance in the patch is anything to go by.

Recent leaks from Genshin Impact are sharing the first details about rumored character Emilie's weapon type and her signature weapon.

Emilie Is a 5-Star Dendro Polearm Likely Coming in Genshin Impact Version 4.8

Reported by Team Mew and shared on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, the latest leak confirms that Emilie will make her debut in Version 4.8, which will raise the total number of characters released during Fontaine to 17. As opposed to Sumeru, Fontaine placed a far bigger emphasis on 5-Star characters – five 4-Stars have joined the overall Genshin Impact roster since Version 4.0, and Sethos is expected to join them in Version 4.7 as the sixth member.

As a Dendro Polearm, Emilie is rumored to be an off-field damage dealer whose talents enhance Burn damage while considerably reducing the damage players take from Burning. With the new Artifact Set introduced in Version 4.6, Genshin Impact players may be able to build a proper Burnmelt team for Wriothesley using Emilie as a teammate. However, her potential as a Dendro character will largely depend on whether she can match Nahida's prowess at keeping the Burning Aura alive.

Assuming she is a character in Genshin Impact's Version 4.8, Emilie's drip marketing should start on June 3, 2024. As a perfumer from Fontaine, Emilie should have plenty of unique flair for her Dendro abilities, and there are many different directions that HoYoverse could take for her visual design. Her concept art showed Emilie in a variety of different color schemes, but they all seemed to have a pastel look overall. If Emilie is not released in Version 4.8, then Genshin Impact players can expect to see her in late August 2024 at the earliest.
