Destroying the Bedrock Keys in Genshin Impact is crucial for the Travelers' journey in The Chasm. However, even if players understand how the mechanism works, this puzzle cannot be solved until they do the Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering Quest. After destroying all the Bedrock Keys, a scene with Zhiqiong and Jiwun will start. This will teleport Travelers to the underground Chasm, and they can finally begin to explore the area.

The Chasm is a mining site that has been anticipated since Genshin Impact 1.0. The area recently suffered from numerous mysterious accidents, leading to it being closed. Lately, more unknown occurrences have happened in The Chasm, so Muning, the Ministry of Civil Affairs representative, asks the Traveler to help investigate. To assist with the examination, players must first understand how to destroy the Bedrock Keys in Genshin Impact.

Once the Cage-Shaped Geo Formation is properly used, it will disappear. This is normal, so Travelers shouldn't worry.

Instead, they should repeat these steps to destroy the Bedrock Keys until a cutscene showing the disappearance of the Qixing’s magical array seal plays. Now, the Bedrock Keys should be on the ground, and not floating.

The Chasm is a new area in Genshin Impact and is split into two parts; the surface and the underground. Players can easily access the surface, but the underground must first be unlocked. The underground Chasm will be on a separate map, similar to Enkanomiya of Watatsumi Island. There will be plenty of new things to do and discover, like the existence of Lumenspar. Lumenspar will act as the Oculus of the underground Chasm, so players will need to collect them all.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
