There are many interesting places in Genshin Impact Sumeru, and that includes the desert area. Although the desert is a mostly barren and lifeless place, those who venture deep underground can easily realize that the place is massive and offers a lot of exploration value. There are endless passages that connect to each other, and it will take a while before people remember each route properly.
However, there are also interesting places on the surface, and one of them is the Dar Al-Shifa, the area where an abandoned hospital resides. Here, players can earn the Escape From The Hospital achievement in Genshin Impact.
Escape From The Hospital Achievement In Genshin Impact
To get the Escape From The Hospital achievement in Genshin Impact, go to the abandoned hospital in Dar Al-Shifa and find a hole in the ground. If players haven’t visited the location yet, there should be a Dendroculus on this spot.
Use Blunt attacks or simply plunge into the hole to break the barrier. Players will fall into a cave and a little camp will be there. For those who have Cyno, don’t forget to collect the two Scarabs that are walking near the camp.
Walk deeper into the passage and people will find writings on the wall. It talks about a person named Abbas who’s trying to escape the place by destroying some mud rocks.
Continue walking around, destroying the Geo rocks until players find a way out. Elemental Sight can come in handy as the breakable rocks will appear in yellowish color.
A cutscene will start once players make it out of the cave. Nearby, there should be an item called Severely Eroded Hoe. Interact with it to get the Escape From The Hospital achievement in Genshin Impact.
Note that people won’t get to interact with the item nor get the achievement if they’re in a fight, so make sure to clear nearby enemies that are hindering this process.
This achievement is likely a reference to the Genshin Impact story revealed in Chapter III: Act IV of the Archon Quest. The hospital of Dar Al-Shifa was once used to treat Eleazar, but it’s now abandoned. Eleazar is a disease exclusive to Sumeru, where people manifest The Withering in their bodies. They slowly develop dark, hardened scales, along with fatigue, numbness, and nerve damage, before it ends up as a disease that causes total immobilization.
No reason is known as to why the hospital is abandoned, but the exploration with Alhaitham soon after shows that this place is still actively used, albeit for darker purposes. Instead of helping people, the hospital is utilized to drain people of their knowledge in pursuit of "Divine Knowledge". It’s currently hypothesized that the action is done to create a new god, one that could replace the current Dendro Archon, Lesser Lord Kusanali.
