  • Genshin Impact players are demanding a free five-star character, like in Honkai: Star Rail's Dr. Ratio giveaway.
  • Players are disappointed with the anniversary rewards and feel generosity is lacking in the game.

Genshin Impact players are now demanding a free five-star character following Honkai: Star Rail's Dr. Ratio giveaway. Not long ago, many Genshin Impact players went online to share their disappointment about anniversary rewards, with some claiming that generosity isn't something they can expect from the game anymore. Earlier this year, they also asked the developers to add more Geo-based characters, as the current roster features only eight units that specialize in the Geo element.

Genshin Impact's ever-growing banner lineup provides players with many options to set up a versatile team featuring characters with different visions. In almost every update, some characters receive limited-time event wishes, during which Travelers have an increased chance to pull them from the banner. However, there are only seven free units that can be obtained without using Intertwined Fates or Acquaint Fates. It's worth noting that many of these freebies can't stay relevant in the current meta due to their outdated skill sets.

On the game's subreddit, many Genshin Impact players voiced their frustration over the lack of free character rewards, with some blaming the developers for ignoring their exact wishes. After seeing Honkai: Star Rail's Dr. Ratio giveaway, they went online to discuss why Genshin Impact offers less free stuff than HoYoverse's turn-based RPG. Many fans now feel left out, with one commenter in particular assuming that the game doesn't need to do that because it has no competitor on the market.

In addition to discussing the lack of freebies, many players criticized the game for not having repeatable endgame content, suggesting the developers bring more combat dungeons and domains filled with enemies. There are only a couple of activities they can try after completing the story, with one being Genshin Impact's Spiral Abyss, which gives Primogems and enhancement materials.

The last time players unlocked a character for free was back in August, when they progressed through the version 4.0 event to get a copy of Bennett. Luckily, he is considered one of the best supports in Genshin Impact, with his kit featuring both temporary buffs and healing abilities. The four-star Pyro sword user has been a resilient choice for the Spiral Abyss content since his first introduction.

Genshin Impact being unrewarding isn't the only thing players are unhappy with, as they also want permanent login bonuses that remain available to claim every day. Some even demand in-game models of female characters, which they think are very similar to each other, to be changed in a future version. It remains to be seen if HoYoverse will actually listen to player feedback.
