The Geo Hypostasis is different from other Hypostasis in Genshin Impact and is more difficult to beat, but is still necessary for farming Artifacts and character Ascension materials. Here's where the Geo Hypostasis is located and how to beat it.

The Geo Hypostasis is likely the last Hypostasis the most players will tackle because it's located in Liyue. Likewise, it's also more difficult than the Electro or Anemo Hypostases. But because it's the only Geo boss around, unless players are pulling Topaz from weekly bosses like Dvalin, they'll need to tackle the Geo Hypostasis to get Ascension materials for any Geo characters in their party. It's located in the Guyun Stone Forest, a cluster of islands off the eastern shore of Liyue, but before heading in, players will need to prepare specific characters for the fight.

Unlike the Electro Hypostasis, where players likely won't bring in an Electro character as they don't have much effect, the Geo Hypostasis may require a Geo user to go up against. Either a Geo Vision character, such as Ningguang or the Traveler; or a claymore-wielding character, such as Razor, Chongyun, or Beidou—or Noelle, who uses both—are essential for this fight. Not using a character of one of these types will result in a nearly impossible battle.

The claymore or Geo Genshin Impact character will need to break down the pillars formed by the Geo Hypostasis, but the best way to do this is to get all pillars down to low HP at the same time. Make sure to keep an eye out for which pillar the Hypostasis is teleporting to because it will unleash hefty AoE damage upon arrival.

Wait to break the pillar until the Geo Hypostasis is hovering above it. Timing this correctly will interrupt its attacks and result in a free attack phase where the player can unleash any type of damage (except Geo) with any character, similar to the other Hypostases. Players can also move near a pillar to bait out the Hypostasis, but keep an eye out for that AoE attack.

After all the pillars are destroyed, the Hypostasis will unleash attacks similar to the other cube bosses that the player needs to dodge, but is vulnerable while it's not covered by blocks. When it's at low health, it'll create more pillars that need to be destroyed quickly. After some time, it'll heal based on how many pillars are left standing, so use a Geo or claymore character again to take them down fast.

If the Geo Hypostasis survives, just rinse and repeat until this Genshin Impact boss is finished off. To collect its rewards, players need 40 Resin.
