This fast-paced card game requires tactical decision-making and a little bit of luck to achieve consistent success. Similar to the gameplay mechanics of Genshin Impact, players can use elemental reactions and character kits in the TCG, making it essential to have a well-coordinated team and supportive cards to maximize performance. Although the playable character cards were initially limited, the 3.4 version update expanded the roster to include Klee and Beidou cards. Kokomi has recently joined the Genius Invokation TCG as a new support character, which aligns with her role in the actual Genshin Impact gameplay as a Hydro user healer. This makes her a valuable addition to any team. As a catalyst user, she can apply Hydro to the enemies on the field while also healing her teammates. Her Elemental Skill deals additional Hydro damage and applies Hydro to the active character, which can be used to remove other elemental effects such as Pyro, which can cause severe damage through Elemental reactions. Kokomi's Elemental Burst has a low-energy cost, heals her teammates, and enhances their normal attacks. Overall, Kokomi is a valuable addition to defensive but potent team compositions due to her support role.

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Kokomi Talent Card

Players can benefit greatly from utilizing Kokomi's Elemental Burst as it provides a strong heal to all characters and buffs the active character's normal attack damage. To make the most of this, players can use Kokomi's Talent Card in conjunction with her Elemental Skill. It is important to ensure that her summon from the Elemental Skill is active, as this talent card will not only allow players to activate the burst directly, but it will also refresh the duration of Bake-Kurage and increase its damage by 1 at the end of the turn. This way, players can maximize the healing potential of Kokomi's Elemental Skill and Burst while also dealing additional damage with the summon.

Best Kokomi Decks

Genshin Impact - Kokomi

Kokomi's versatility as a top-tier healer and support character makes her a valuable addition to a variety of team compositions. Teams that prioritize normal attacks and require extensive healing can particularly benefit from her abilities. Her effectiveness is amplified when paired with another Hydro character to utilize Hydro resonance. While she excels in stalling decks, Kokomi is also a valuable support character in offensive teams that don't rely on shield abilities. This is because Kokomi can be well utilized in Elemental Reaction focused decks, allowing the main-DPS character to deal significant damage while not needing to worry as much about their HP.

It's important to note that opponents can mitigate Kokomi's Elemental Skill by using the Send Off card, which can be especially inconvenient if players intend to summon multiple summons using other characters like Mona, Xiangling, or Fischl. However, Kokomi can summon her Elemental Skill back, although it may be more difficult if her talent card has already been utilized. Despite this potential drawback, Kokomi's abilities and versatility make her a powerful asset to any TCG deck.

Kokomi + Mona + Diona

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Kokomi Mona Diona

By incorporating two healers and the potential to Freeze, this deck is one of the most defensive decks in the TCG. However, Diona is the only enabler for Cryo, which means she must be utilized frequently to maintain the Cryo application, alognside her ability to use shields and healing. Mona and Kokomi's alternating Hydro application will be useful, particularly against decks that lack quick swap capabilities. Conversely, this deck may struggle against opponents who can quickly and easily swap, such as those who utilize Keqing. Nevertheless, with two healers and shield capabilities, it can withstand significant damage and consistently heal itself. For those that are looking for less defense and more power, Diona can be swapped with Kaeya as well.

It's important for players to note that the ideal combo rotation for this deck is highly dependent on the opponent. However, as a general strategy, players should begin by using Mona's Elemental Skill, followed by Diona's Elemental Skill to gain a shield and freeze the opponent. If Mona's summon remains intact on the next turn, players can freeze the opponent again if they go first. However, if they go second, it's best to switch to Kokomi before the turn ends, so they can cleanse the applied element with her Elemental Skill before switching back to Diona to freeze the opponent again. This deck benefits greatly from equipment cards that prioritize defense, such as General's Ancient Helm or Lucky Dog's Silver Circlet, providing additional protection against potential heavy hitters.

Kokomi + Beidou + Fischl

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Kokomi Beidou Fischl

This team composition heavily relies on the Electro-Charged reaction to gradually wear down the opponents' HP while maintaining a defensive stance with the aid of Beidou's shielding abilities and Kokomi's healing prowess. Fischl serves as the primary off-field Electro-enabler, and once players activate her skill, they can switch between Beidou and Kokomi to ensure that the reaction stays active. While this playstyle may seem slow at first, players will soon discover the immense potential for high damage and finishing blows once both Kokomi and Beidou's Bursts are active.

Although it may take some time to charge up Beidou's Burst, having two Electro characters in this team allows for the efficient use of both Elemental Resonance cards to speed up the energy-gaining process for utilizing Elemental Bursts as often as possible.

Kokomi + Klee + Xiangling

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Kokomi Klee Xiangling

The primary focus of this deck composition is the vaporize reaction, and if executed correctly, it has the potential to defeat an opponent's character card in the first turn. Klee's self-buff can pack a powerful punch if the dice are managed effectively, and elemental application is done efficiently. Kokomi's Elemental Burst buff is particularly beneficial to Klee, allowing players to concentrate on either character's Burst to enable strong elemental applications. Additionally, at the end of the turn, Kokomi and Xiangling's summons combined can inflict significant damage to the opponent's active character, even if there was no prior application.

Since both Kokomi and Klee are catalyst users and can easily enable elemental application while also boasting potential for off-field application, players can choose to utilize either one first. However, it's best to focus on Klee since she has more on-field damage potential than off-field until her Burst is activated. Nevertheless, this may lead to inconsistency in hydro application at times. To mitigate this, players can consider using a character like Xingqiu instead of Xiangling, particularly against players who prefer quick swapping and can mitigate summons.

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Best Action Cards-1

Since Kokomi can be used effectively in many team compositions, primarily as a support, it can be difficult to decide which cards to use to enable additional utilities. Players can generally utilize most of the great action cards in the game. For those who want to use her Burst often, her Talent Card can be a good option in a flexible slot. However, it might be more worthwhile to use the talent cards of other characters instead, such as Klee's.

In most of Kokomi's team compositions, players can benefit greatly from Elemental Resonance cards, which allows for faster Burst Enabling and higher damage potential, even in defensive decks. Kokomi is particularly useful in many stall decks, and cards like Timmy or Liben can be utilized greatly. With Kokomi's significant healing capability, players have some room to swap out healing cards for others that allow for quick-swap or even additional defensive cards if desired.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
