The Genius Invokation TCG in Genshin Impact is a thrilling game mode introduced in version 3.3. This fast-paced card game demands tactical decision-making and a bit of luck to achieve consistent success. Just like the actual gameplay of Genshin Impact, players can utilize elemental reactions and character kits in the TCG, making it crucial to have a well-coordinated team and supportive cards for optimal performance. Initially, the playable character cards were limited, but the 3.4 version update added Klee and Beidou cards to the roster, and with the 3.5 update, even more cards were introduced, including Eula, Kokomi, and Sara. This gives players even more options to experiment with and enjoy.

Eula, as the newest Cryo DPS unit in the TCG, leans more towards Physical DPS in her normal playstyle. Similar to her role in the actual gameplay of Genshin Impact, in the TCG, she is also a formidable DPS character. Although her Burst has a low energy requirement, players must use her further afterward, which means that her card should remain on the field for most of the time to be effectively utilized. Thus, players should focus on building decks that offer easy off-field support without requiring numerous swaps or energy generation for their Burst.

Eula's Talent Card: Wellspring of War-Lust

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Eula Talent Card-1

Although it can be challenging to utilize Eula's Elemental Burst in certain situations, her Talent Card can be a helpful tool for dealing extra damage and potentially defeating the opponent's character when the effect of her Elemental Burst wears off at the end of the turn.

The Talent Card directly activates Eula's Elemental Burst, and since it only requires 2 Energy, players should be able to use it easily on their second turn and beyond. With this card in their deck, players can deal one additional point of damage at the end of the turn, making it a valuable addition to their strategy.

Best Eula Decks

Genshin Impact Eula teaser

Eula is a top-tier Cryo DPS character that synergizes well with team compositions that utilize Freeze and, consequently, Shatter, as well as Melt decks. Superconduct decks can be used with Eula in the TCG, but they may not be as effective as in the original Genshin Impact gameplay since Superconduct doesn't benefit Physical DMG in the TCG. Therefore, it may not be the best strategy to use with Eula.

It's important to note that Eula's burst effect is classified as a summon, which means that opponents with the Send Off card or any ability that destroys summons can easily counter it. Eula can be a formidable mid-range character, capable of dealing consistent 2 DMG with her normal attack without any reactions.

However, with the right setup and team composition, she can become a one-shot character that deals over 10 damage in a single turn with the use of her Elemental Burst. This holds true for both Elemental Reaction-focused decks and those that rely on her Physical DPS capabilities.

Eula + Mona + Kokomi

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Eula Mona Kokomi-1

This composition which utilizes Eula, Kokomi, and Mona cards, is a Freeze deck that aims to stall the enemy by consistently freezing them. The deck also utilizes Hydro Resonance and Kokomi's healing abilities to keep the characters' HP high. Compared to many other Eula decks, it requires more swaps between characters, as players need to make sure they are consistently applying Hydro before swapping to Eula.

This deck is ideal against deck compositions that rely on certain combos, as it can easily disrupt and slow them down with the consistent Freeze reaction. Additionally, when Eula shatters the Freeze, there will be an additional 2 DMG added, even though shatter on its own is not considered an elemental reaction. As it slows down the enemy, it also relies much less on utilizing Eula's Elemental Burst as quickly as possible.

However, once it is utilized, players will be easily able to take away the remaining HP of the opponents' characters even without needing to rely so much on doing as many damage as possible with Eula. For players who prefer having Cryo resonance instead, it is also possible to utilize a character like Kaeya instead of Kokomi. However, this team might struggle with keeping characters alive much more than with Kokomi and will need to rely on healing cards often.

Eula + Chongyun + Diluc

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Eula Chongyun Diluc-1

Unlike the Freeze Deck composition, this deck composition focuses on quick kills due to the high damage potential of Eula combined with the Melt reaction. Players can either rely on utilizing her burst often or focus on her Elemental Skill since Grimheart will boost the damage output of her Elemental Skill. Having Eula and Chongyun in the team allows for the Cryo Elemental resonance, which not only generates additional Cryo dice but also deals an extra 2 DMG when Elemental Resonance: Shattering Ice Card is utilized. With some luck on dice and starting hand, players can even achieve a first-turn kill.

In mid-game, Diluc's Pyro attacks can be used to deal significant Melt damage to finish off remaining characters. Furthermore, since all the characters in this composition are powerful Claymore users, it is highly viable to include Wolf's Gravestone weapon card in this deck as a flexible option.

However, players should keep in mind that this deck does not include any healers and is highly susceptible to taking a lot of damage with minimum recovery possibilities. As such, healing cards are highly recommended. Otherwise, players should ensure that they prevent the enemy from setting up their combos or recovering their HP by focusing on dealing the most damage with the lowest possible actions.

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Best Action Cards-1

The action cards in a deck are highly dependent on the team composition, but luckily for Eula, she can effectively use most of the best action cards in the game. This, combined with her Talent Card and other damage-boosting cards, ensures that opponents can be defeated quickly.

Moreover, since Eula benefits from using as many attacks as possible in the same turn after activating her burst, it's advisable to use support cards that help manage the dice. For example, cards that reduce the number of dice used or add extra dice, such as Elemental Resonance: Woven Ice, as well as Timmy, or Liben, can be helpful in later turns. The Bestest Travel Companion is also a great addition, as it ensures that Eula has access to Cryo dice as much as possible. It's worth noting that unless players are interested in constantly swapping between characters, which is not as necessary for Eula, they can utilize the flexible spots for many food cards instead of swapping-related cards for additional healing or damage boosts.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is in development.
