After testing Freminet in Genshin Impact, players may come to the conclusion that he’s not so bad as a DPS, which is surprising since 4-star units typically perform quite poorly as a dedicated DPS. However, when compared side by side with the queen of Physical DMG, it’ll soon be clear that Freminet is still below her in terms of DPS.

Freminet’s Normal Attack has decent multipliers that feel close to Eula, but unlike Eula who has a 5-hit combo, Freminet only has a 4-hit sequence. He also doesn’t have an immensely powerful Elemental Burst like Eula, although his Elemental Skill does provide decent damage that puts him on par with Eula without her Elemental Burst. Due to him being a Physical DPS with a similar playstyle to Eula, it’s no surprise that Freminet team comp in Genshin Impact uses a similar set of units with the Vengeance Queen. One key difference is the fact that Freminet greatly benefits from Shattered Reaction, which means Hydro characters are great to have in his party.

4 Freminet + Kuki Shinobu + Xingqiu + Nahida

One of the key points when using Dendro Elemental Reaction in Genshin Impact is the fact the Element doesn’t react with Cryo. In some cases, this means the two simply aren’t compatible and can’t be played together, but in some others, it’s a blessing since they won’t interrupt each other’s Elemental Reactions. The easiest example of this is the fact that players can play Physical Superconduct and Hyperbloom teams both at once.

That's the idea behind this Freminet team. Usually, a Hyperbloom would be lacking a reliable driver and players would use Nahida for the job, but those who own Eula or Freminet can simply benefit from their Cryo and Physical prowess to act as the main DPS.

In this team, Xingqiu can apply Hydro that reacts with Nahida’s Dendro to create Dendro Cores, and then Kuki Shinobu can hit those Dendro Cores with her Skill to trigger Hyperbloom. If this Reaction doesn’t occur, the combo between Cryo and Electro or Electro-Charged can make Superconduct happen, which is beneficial for Freminet. So whichever Reaction ends up happening, it’ll be great all the same. If Nahida has her second Genshin Impact Constellation, this team would be even crazier as she can reduce the enemy’s DEF for 8s if Quicken occurs, and she’ll also enable Hyperbloom to Crit with a 20% chance.

Team Roles

  • Freminet: Main DPS
  • Kuki Shinobu: Hyperbloom trigger, healer
  • Xingqiu: Sub-DPS, Hydro enabler, buffer (Noblesse Oblige)
  • Nahida: Sub-DPS, Dendro enabler, debuffer (Deepwood Memories)

3 Freminet + Mika C6 + Fischl + Yelan

As a DPS that focuses on Physical DMG in Genshin Impact, it’s no surprise that the assistance of Mika would be valuable for Freminet. At C6, Mika can greatly enhance Physical Crit DMG on top of providing other utilities like ATK SPD boost and healing. Next, add Fischl to deal constant Electro DMG with her Oz and help trigger Superconduct and lower the enemy’s Physical RES. Finally, Yelan works as a powerful Sub-DPS that enables Hydro, allows Freminet to constantly Shatter the enemies, and also buffs the main DPS with her Ascension passive.

  • Fischl: Sub-DPS, Electro enabler

2 Freminet + Beidou + Rosaria + Zhongli

Those who prefer a vanilla Superconduct can opt for units like Beidou and Rosaria for Freminet team comp in Genshin Impact. Beidou is a great Sub-DPS, Electro enabler, and shielder all at the same time, while Rosaria can work as a buffer, debuffer (at C6), and also a Sub-DPS.

This team will greatly lower the enemy’s Physical RES as they’ll suffer a -40% from Superconduct, -20% from Rosaria’s C6, and an extra -20% from Zhongli’s Shield. Just remember that any RES reduction below 0% will be halved, so the -60% Physical RES will be a -30% reduction for Fatui enemies that have a default -20% Physical RES.

However, if players don’t feel the need for Zhongli and think Beidou is sufficient as a shielder, they can replace the Geo Archon with other supportive units like Kazuha. If Kazuha can Swirl Electro and Cryo at the same time, he can increase the damage dealt by Beidou, Rosaria, and Freminet all at once.

Team Roles

  • Freminet: Main DPS
  • Beidou: Sub-DPS, Electro enabler
  • Rosaria: Sub-DPS, debuffer, buffer (Noblesse Oblige)
  • Zhongli: Shielder, debuffer, buffer (Tenacity of the Millelith)

1 Freminet + Kokomi + Raiden Shogun + Kujou Sara

Superconduct isn’t only beneficial for Physical DPS like Freminet as an Ocean-Hued Clam wielder in Genshin Impact like Kokomi can also benefit from it. However, as this isn’t about Kokomi, she’ll only work as a buffer by using Tenacity of the Millelith and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers in this team.

To enable Superconduct, Raiden Shogun will be the Electro enabler while also performing as a Sub-DPS whenever necessary. Kujou Sara here can buff both Raiden and Freminet, but if players don’t want to or can’t use her, then she can be replaced by other units. A crowd controller like Venti, Kazuha, and Sucrose are all excellent choices since grouping small enemies can save a lot of time in time-limited challenges like the Genshin Impact Spiral Abyss.

Team Roles

  • Freminet: Main DPS
  • Sangonomiya Kokomi: Healer, buffer (Tenacity of the Millelith and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers)
  • Raiden Shogun: Sub-DPS, buffer, Electro enabler
  • Kujou Sara: Sub-DPS, buffer, Noblesse Oblige user

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
