Fans of the popular open world RPG Genshin Impact are now less than 24 hours away from the launch of the game's 1.1 update. This update brings along with it several new characters that players can obtain through the game's gacha system. The first new event banner, Farewell of Snezhnaya, features newcomers Childe and Diona and will launch alongside the 1.1 update. And since players will need Primogems to make these wishes, it seems that miHoYo has created a new promotional code to with a little gift for players.

This new promotional code will give players 50 Primogems as well as 3 Hero's Wit, which will certainly come in handy for players looking to summon Childe and level him up as quickly as possible. Players simply need to head over to the official Genshin Impact website and navigate to the "Redeem Code" page. After they login, players will need only to enter the code GENSHINGIFT to receive their rewards. This code is universal across all servers.

Primogems can become hard to come by for free-to-play players, especially upon reaching higher Adventure Rank levels. While this may seem like players will inevitably have to put money into the game either to continue summoning on a regular basis or refresh their Resin, some players have put together helpful videos and guides for farming Primogems quickly and efficiently.

Players can get 245 free Primogems from playing Genshin Impact

While there are certainly ways for players to avoid putting their hard earned cash into Genshin Impact, it seems that other players have had no issue spending real world money on the game. It was recently reported that Genshin Impact brought in almost $245 million in player spending in its first month on mobile devices. This makes Genshin Impact the second most successful mobile game launch just behind Pokemon GO at $283 million.

Genshin Impact appears to appeal to players not just for some of its gambling-like mechanics, however. Players have remarked that the game's overall gameplay loop has been incredibly enjoyable for them, so much so that Genshin Impact was recently nominated as one of Google Play's Users' Choice Games of 2020.

It certainly seems like Genshin Impact has a lot of momentum behind it coming out of its first full month since release, but the real test will be how it performs over the coming year. However, between its consistent updates, miHoYo's transparency with the community, and its lengthy plans for future content, it seems that players will likely be play and talking about Genshin Impact for the foreseeable future.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, and mobile devices, with PS5 and Switch versions also in development.
